I am in search of a basic lcd/ led/ plasma tv for my mother. Our old and very faithful 25" BPL TV has started to show the sign of aging which we purchased in 1996.

My mother will use the TV for herself which is restricted to watching only Bengali/ hindi programs on SD. No need for HD.

So the priority is only PQ and SQ. No other requirements is needed.

Occasionally, we can add a bluray/ dvd player to watch a movie or something, nothing more than that.

So please suggest me a 32" TV at the cheapest/ low budget which suits the need of watching SD content.

Requirement:

Basic 32" LCD/ LED/ Plasma tv. Required good PQ and SQ for watching SD content. Budget within Rs.25,000/-

For quick research I have found the following options:

Toshiba 32HV10ZE LCD 32 inches HD TV price in India as on on Sep 21, 2013 | Specs & Review | PriceDekho India - 15.8K

Panasonic TH-L32C5D LCD 32 inches HD TV price in India as on on Sep 21, 2013 | Specs & Review | PriceDekho India - 21.3K

Samsung 403 Series LCD TV 32" LN32D403 price in India as on on Sep 20, 2013 | Specs & Review | PriceDekho India - 23.8K

Thanks guys in advance.

I did not buy a TV as I was able to repair my existing CRT TV. Now the need has come again. Budget is slightly increased at 30K. Ready to go for plasma too. Preferably Toshiba as it offers 3 years warranty. Other requirements remain unchanged. Please suggest.

Need some suggestion on the same issue

So please suggest me a 32" TV at the cheapest/ low budget which suits the need of watching SD content.

Last week I visited Reliance Digital. They showed a 32 AOC as the cheapest for 16K. I had two usb and two hdmi ins. The picture looks decent comparing to the price. Plus it has 2 years company's warranty.

Current TV needs to be replaced immediately as it has broken down and family members are eagerly waiting for a new ones. Will be used for SD watching through stb only and rarely movie playback via usb.

Please suggest. :licklips:

What about Samsung 4100 plasma, it is 43 inches and large but comes to about Rs 31,000 market price.

Very good for bengali serials and SD programs. But caveat resolution is low.

Another choice is LG 42 PN4500 better resolution roughly the same price of about Rs 31-32,000.

Hi

The difference between the 2 models is

Price, Output in sound, Electricity Consumption, Refresh rate etc....would suggest to go for the cricket series....P2305ZE

All the best....

Have videocon 22 " at mothers place and AOC 22 " at my place as second TVs for last 3-4 years .. works decently . ESP Videocon did NOT require service even once ( and being used daily)

Thank you guys for your suggestion. Finally booked Toshiba P2305ZE for [22.5K - 1k(old tv)] Rs.21,500/-.

I would suggest you go with Philips 32" HD LCD 32PFL5306. I got a 32" Philips 32PFL 3305/V7 model in Jan 2010 and until now I have not faced a single problem. I do own a HTS 3511E. I got both models for Rs. 32,000 (24 for TV and 8 for HTiB). Both are working fine with no issues. Nowadays for the price you suggested you can get a good LED TV. I request you to go for brands like LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Philips or Sony. Going for "not so famous brands" is a gamble.
