Completed my setup

Finally completed stage 1 of my setup.

Media room receiver HDZone is connected to bedroom TV using pair of Altona HDMI extender over CAT6 cable. HDZone can play independently of the main zone.

Receiver is 9.2. I have wired zone 2 (living room) and zone 3 (kid's bedroom) but yet to connect any speakers. Receiver is wired to home network. Pioneer app (iOS/Android) is awesome. Can play music on all the zones independently (not verified though, I have verified only main zone and HDZone). Tata Sky box is connected to home network. Their app is also good. I have taken only one box so far. I can use the same box in bedroom too. Only constraint is I can watch only one channel . But it's useful for watching TV either in media room or bedroom or simultaneously.

Next step - Building HTPC+NAS. Doing some research. May take 3-6 months. I have also made the option (wiring done) for projector and retractable screen. I may do that before the HTPC.

Congrats buddy... Looks very elegant... :thumbsup: I see a cluster of remotes... May be time to consider universal remote... I think your AVR's remote has the learning capability... If you can teach them, you can do away with these remotes..

Thank you. It was worth the effort. Yes, i have logitech 650 universal remote. My daughter is still trying to use it and keeps going back to the original ones. Takes time
