Hi, please anybody help me. I have a Sony davdz290k htib. I want to connect this to my pc for audio. I have normal audio out jack from my pc. Help me with this techies here.
What inputs are present in the HTIB? If it has a stereo (3.5mm) jack for input then you can connect the speaker out of the pc to it. If it has RCA input then you will need a RCA to 3.5mm converter to connect to pc.
Then you can connect the speaker or headphone out of the pc to this. However you won't get true surround sound. For this you will need to use optical or co-axial connection from pc to htib.
buy a SPDIF header for PC, buy a optical or coaxial cable, connect the header on the motherboard pins, connect SPDIF header of PC to sony with the cable. This the "only" way you will get true surround.
does your home theatre have something like TV in aur AUX? if yes then you need http://www.ezshopfun.com/images/10002274-0m.jpg. Connect the 3.5 mm jack to one of the ports of computers audio panel, and other two to HTiB. In pop up that comes on computer, select "line out".
I think the best possible with this is to give stereo input form pc to htib and select prologic processing in htib to have some effect. nothing else is possible.
