Hi guys, I am facing a problem. I have installed a pioneer DEH-5090UB HU in my swift. I have installed JBL GTO component speakers in the front and Boston S9(3) 6X9 co-axials at the rear.
Right from the day one, I used to hear a crackling sound from my rear left speaker, the Boston. I took this up with the dealer and after a few weeks, he replaced it under warranty. The new speaker was working fine for a couple of months and suddenly I started to hear crackling noises from it. When I took it back to the dealer, the noises took a break and stopped. Again, after a couple of days, it started back. I told the dealer about this and he said he cannot do anything until he himself hears the crackling noises.
After a couple of days, the crackling noises stopped and they showed up again after a couple of months. Again, it was temporary and it disappeared. Now, after 2 years from purchase, those sounds have started again. The speaker does not have warranty and I have to get it repaired myself.
Can anybody tell me the reason for the crackling noises and if possible, please suggest a remedy.
Thanks,
Addy
