Denon x4800h new humming noise

Got a firmware update recently on x4800.
After the update ext amps are able to get louder. But everything sounds noisy except the subs...no long term interest in lostening to music and titinus quickly jumps in at much lower volumes (decibels) than before.
Any body facing this?
THD value changed aftet update??

not

I don’t think a firmware update can impact loudness or tonality

Don't get me wrong my friend.
I get the feeling that your condition is coming in the way of how you're able to judge, hear and perceive sound. Its resulting in overthinking of a situation.
A firmware update is unlikely to get more gain out of the amplifier or pre outs. That can only happen if the pre out levels increase. You need to know the level of the pre out before and after the firmware update.

I understand. I can only judge from my what my ears and mind percieve.

And this has been happening recently with all these avr's posting very good reports with those equipments used to test them but sadly many of us are not able to perceive it physically.

Earlier I used to scroll the volume upto +6db. Below 0db all those speakers would be lazy lying down in the bed - not waking up and even at max +12db i want to push them more.

Now after the update -18db is good enough to wake them and -15db is what i mostly enjoy them. When That adrenaline rush pops up not able to go beyond -5db.

One of the main reason to shy away from denon was this volume issue. Now its good but everything sounds noisy....not smooth like I used to hear from the yamaha demos that i remember...not as smooth atleast as in the pioneer lx57 i hear now side by side.

So...

-18 db sojnds good means volume level to reference level
I guess it depends on room size. Earlier smaller room (11x22feet) -18 db used to be very loud in pioneer. In this room pioneer needs to go to +3db but this all depends on the source too.

Got apple tv 4k recently and the picture quality is far more improved than Dune hd.
FOr comparison found a youtube channel postingng songs upgraded 8k using AI. It was outstanding difference to be watched wven in 4k. Now with apple tv all the 4k content looks like those AI upgraded 8k videos.

But the audio aintbas satisfying as the dune HD (compared to apple tv). I guess most of the gain that i am enjoying now is from the dune hd or may be the denon setting where we have an option to adjust volume levels for different sources kicked in after the update.

Call an electrician and get the earthing checked, he will help you solve the issue. Once the earthing is sorted your other appliances will also thank you.
I bought new havells socket and switches modular and they fit my woofer denon cable perfectly i will get them installed soon modular. Can you tell phase should come in left or right hole of socket?
