hmm sounds too good. how safe is alibaba? how will we ensure it is original and not some cheap copy?
I want 3-4 3TB ones.

people loose hefty sums in so called mutual funds/stocks.. and no one complains ..because it is all part of the plan..

if one looses 1000Rs in import , every one panics .. yes i like to take small risks.There are valid reasons a) seller seems to do HDDs not cheap toys + HDDs
b) price point not very unusual, there are other sellers also giving same price the HDD
c) there is paypal
two unwanted issues may occur
customs may delay the delivery
and DOA (damage on arrival) , although modern HDDs are tolerant to rough handling
but cant say

Kaushik keep us posted on the outcome. I too am looking for it and at these prices it definately is a steal. I have 5 TB of Hard Disk space and almost used up 90%

cant believe , it is with security in office , i have unpacked and repacked.
the disk is very small made in malaysia , the cartoon stays 2 TB .

A china QC stamp extra sticker is there on paper cartoon. :yahoo::yahoo:

unless i test I am assuming it is real WD

The look and feel of the pack seems genuine WD , cables also by WD ..
