Fans of Television Series

^^ I watch it on my TV, 1080p 42" .... The only TV series I watched on my 130" HT Screen was The walking Dead, that too just as a test, else I prefer my TV for TV series, and HT for only Movies.

I watch in 55 inch TV and I only watch 1080p. The experience is just awesome. If you watch sci-fi movies and seat in less that 6ft distance, it almost gives the 3D experience, well almost. :)

How many of you guys watch your TV shows on a bigger screen, probably 50 inches or more? How's the experience? Currently i watch most of the shows on my 1080p Toshiba chromebook, but planning to buy a big screen as many streaming options are now available in India. Does a bigger screen gives you more immersive experience.? also i enjoy most of the shows with headphones on as the sound detailing is much better that way.

Don't wanna start an offtopic discussion...just because you asked... I'm watching shows on 55" TV since last 9 months and I would say I enjoy the big screen for watching everything now..be it movies, tv shows or any video on YouTube... except all those stupid WhatsApp videos ...

Edit: It seems Tapatalk app truncated my comment...so adding the missing words.

When it comes to shows like Band of Brothers, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Banshee etc....I'd say sound and big screen would make a difference... But won't matter much for shows like Friends or The Good Wife :)

... It certainly gets immersive experience when you see faces and scenes like this... you know what I mean ;-)

It seems Tapatalk has some bugs while posting comments and image loading... It truncated my long message before and it got lost.
Posting the image again... I'm using Sony XD93 55" 4K TV... The pic is from 'The Blacklist' which is available in 4K on Netflix.

I have a 100inch PJ HT, and I have option to watch netflix in my HT. However I prefer to watch TV shows in my tablet/laptop in the comfort of my rocker. No obvious reason, just my way :)

^^ me too for same reason .. :) I prefer to watch TV series on my 42 inch lying on my Bed, rather than in my HT on Recliner ...... No obvious reason here as well, just my way ... :), Movies YES I do not watch on my 42 Inch, even if its a Drama or just plain dialogue oriented movie. I still watch it on my HT. ... Even Bollywood movies every single one of them.

AHHH!!! 4K...someday I will reach there ..... :D :)

I am sure you will love it... It's totally worth when there is no worry of Internet Data Limit for streaming ;-)

I wasn't buying a 4K TV as I thought it's a long way to go!!

But then, during auditioning lots of TVs last year...I saw Walter White saying "Say My Name" in Netflix 4K... and I was like... "Yo Bitch...!!" I'm buying this shit

There are few amazing YouTube channels in 4K which makes me adore this TV!!
My favourite one is: https://www.youtube.com/user/devinsupertramp
Do check it... The videos there are nothing less than a well made action movie!

Even MKBHD (The Tech Reviewer) makes all his videos in 4K now ;-)

:lol: Yes I know that feeling .... and yes plan is to get there as soon as possible .. :D , but my LED experience is just ok, I mean the shelf life of it, (search my 47" LG LCD thread) so I am hell bent on spending as less as possible .... so I am waiting for prices to drop even more ..... they have to an extent on TVs like VU 4K 40" ... but are still around 37K, I dont feel LCD/LED are even worth spending that much considering the shelf life ...... but thats just IMHO ofcourse ... :)

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story .... This show is "Top Quality" simply putting it, did a binge watch in two days, 10 episodes.

I have not binge watched, till I started this one.

A Sunday well spent watching from episode 4 till the end.

I had seen it in the listing but had never thought to investigate, till I saw your post. TFS.

Where ? I have hotstar, prime and netflix

I would love to rewatch GoT in 4K - had to watch it on hotstar which is ***only*** HD (the emphasis because till a few months I was perfectly content with SD on tatasky).

I made that comment with respect to watching on Big Screen actually.

GOT and Band of Brothers are HBO shows and not available on anywhere else other than HBO and its affiliated streaming services such as Hotstar.

They are not available on 4K anywhere yet.

The best way to watch GOT is Bluray.. (I watched first 3 seasons on Bluray and then next three by downloading in 1080 rips.)
Actually not a single TV show is released on 4K UltraHD Bluray yet.
I watched "Band of Brothers" on Bluray and IMO this is one the best Bluray when it comes to testing your Home Theater.... You will feel the war and tension!!

Hotstar's best quality is 720p and AC3 or AAC stereo audio codec when I checked last...so doesn't do justice to many great HBO shows available there. I wish they at least start streaming in 1080p first.

Sons of Anarchy and Banshee also not in 4K anywhere... I watched all 7 seaons of SOA on Bluray and loved the music and action... totally worth.
Hoping to buy Bluray of Banshee also and rewatch it sometime :)

You'd be already knowing that only Netflix and Amazon Prime has TV shows in 4K...
Netflix list is here: https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/lists/4k-titles-on-netflix/

Almost all the Amazon Original shows are in 4K and few even in HDR...
But, so far, Amazon Prime India has made only "Grand Tour" available in 4K HDR... I keep on checking but they're still discriminating all other regions .. only USA region has all Amazon Originals in 4K

WHAAA!!! never knew there was a spin off in production .... double thanks for bringing that up ... Checked on IMDB.... looks like only couple of episodes are aired, so will have to wait for the entire season to come up ........ damm this is exciting, Good Wife was one of my top 5 all time shows.

I hope/wish they do a cameo appearance or an episode with Julianna as Alisha, that would be interesting ... :)

Where did you see BTW?

 You're welcome.
I was anticipating it since long... and recently read reviews on Reddit; so couldn't stop myself :)

I watched it by downloading... there was no other way!
Even in US, it's being broadcast over some exclusive CBS streaming service; so not many viewers yet!

I wish they make this also available on Netlflix on weekly basis after original broadcast... just like new shows such as Designated Survivor, Shooter, Riverdale; which have been airing new episodes on Netflix (in overseas locations) right after their original broadcast on a network channel in US.
So we can make our ways of watching legal

^^ I am pretty sure Netflix will acquire rights, it had for Good wife , hope they get for this as well .... else yes download would only be the option ..... But I sure I am excited .... :)

Do NOT watch The Iron Fist. It is appallingly bad in just about every aspect. Also started watching The Bull, which is actually quite good.
