Hello DIY gurus!

Recently I have been interested in wood working and am also needing a small speaker for my laptop. So think a smallish DIY speaker would be good. So can you please help me out?

Can you suggest some decent drivers? What about the crossover? I can manage to build a decent cabinet myself.

I am based in Pune. I have heard Philips drivers are locally available. Any other options? How about Peerless India drivers?

As this is my first DIY speaker build so looking for something in budget range and easily available which could be assembled with a knowledge of a beginner.

I am sure there are many DIY gurus here who have been there done that! So please suggest me. I plan to make a trip to the electronic market sometime this weekend. So early inputs should help :)

Cheers & Regards!

Something like these should do.

What about amplification?

I just want to take this up as a learning project. Any DIY kit should also be fine for me.
Some design involving a cross over would be good learning to help understand the basics.

Hope I get some much needed encouragement to get me started! :)

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
