Congrats! PIcs do justice to the plasmas performance too!
How much did you get it for? Which other plasmas were in the running?

Congrats on your purchase.

The HD content looks mesmerizing.
The shot of Avatar looks bit washed out. Expected bit deep black there. Am not an expert in this. So pardon me if I said something wrong :)

But loved the BattleField pics. WOW. Its amazing.

Could you post some snaps with SD contents and your opinion on SD PQ?

^^Yeah just woke p had passed out finally at like 9am. :-)

I paid 71K as per the other thred from Panasonic Brand Shop Dhole Patil Pune.

The dealer was super I was there 3 times once with my PC and once with the PS3, he was very helpful. He says he drove to Bhimwadi to get it for me.

Yes the Avatar screen looks washed out but i believe its my photography skills that are not good as this movie simply looks stunning on FullHD.

The only other TV I considered was the SONY EX500 and of course the older G10. But I simply preferred this one, watched Avatar for 30 mins comparing it to the G10.

I yet need to calibrate it but right now I amusing it on all settings below 50.
Please suggest some settings if possible.

I feel great to be one of the first to own this set as even on AVSForums many people are still waiting. Lucky here in India we got it now.

What more to say, I have the LG PQ60 as well, but now thats given to Dad, the SD content is not super great I was watching the Brasil vs USA last years Confederations Cup match on ESPN via AirTel it looked ok, nothing too great, but thats just because I was watching FulHd all night, but dont get it for SD if you are thinking about, its glory is in movies and FullHd content thats for sure.

I am still to tinker with the settings. It as VieraCast, YouTube, Skype seems to be locked for now, Divx is there, 2 USB ports for Wireless LAn, and for Keyboard as well.

humm what else you guys wanna know???

I love the gun metal finish, I was very skeptical after looking at the pics on the net, but after seeing it in person I loved it.
Its got a really nice touch to it.

Now for the AudioEngines ...I need better sound.

Thanks a lot gys in helping me make this purchase.
Thanks.
:-)

I believe that for a Plasma TV you *HAVE TO* keep brightness way down for the first few hundred hours or so.. read it up on the Internet... after that you can use it at full brightness.. also use some screensavers to prevent burn-in.

Enjoy it

From the pictures, it looks like the frame is black colored and in 'matte' finish. Is that correct? If it is, then it would be a very pleasant surprise, since I was under the impression that the V20 series has a 'grey' colored frame. Also, I hate the stupid & shiny, 'piano' finish, that Panasonic had lately gravitated towards. Does the TV have a shiny, mirror like frame?

^^ It is grey sir, but it is dark grey, even I was skeptical about it, but have looking at in person it simply looked really nice, the pics on the net dont do justice, one should go to the outlet and see one....

Congrats Nanu!!!

I also got the same TV 42V20 on Saturday. I compared this with last year's G10 and other new plasma TVs like A20, X20 & U20, and yes this was the brightest among all plasma TVs. I watched Blu-ray and normal DTH video on this TV in the showroom. SD DTH was OK, but blu-ray was simply amazing.

Finally I ordered this TV and yes, it got delivered at my home in the evening! I watched the DVD movie and few pictures through SD card slot at home. Even DVD look amazingly good in the night, after switching off all the lights in the room!! I'm really impressed with this TV, and really enjoying it. :)

Today I could not watch anything, since I went to Lavasa City in the morning and just came back from there. I will write more about this later; now I'm too tired.

Good Night!

Does this have the full THX setting calibration screens as in the UK model VT20?
For reference,please see this: Panasonic TX-P50VT20/ TX-P50VT20B/ 50VT20 3D TV Review

Actually, comparing the Panasonic UK page here (http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_...ecification/4916093/index.html?trackInfo=true) and the Panasonic India page here (http://www.panasonic.co.in/web/pid/9261/Spec), the Indian version V20D seems to exclude THX, and the Infinite Black Pro system. Seems like they've shortchanged us again!

Saw this TV today. No infinite black pro or THX mode. However this is still by far the best TV I've ever seen for 1080p content. My Philips is not even close and I think it outdoes the Pioneers I've seen.

Nothing at all surprising or new about this, specially when it comes to Panasonic. Not only do we get less features, but we always have to pay far more. Shame on you Panasonic. We should not only write to them and express our displeasure over this.
