Heartfelt pics of ST50 -- After 200 Hours :-(

Not repeatable on 50X50D. Couldn't see banding on any color.

Here are my pictures:

If you look carefully at the dark green slide above, there is faint presence of a light vertical band about 1/6th from the left. But this was visible only with contrast=0 and brightness=-50.

Buddy, check Red Slide, bottom left side...Are those not white bands. Also check, blue slide got one on left bottom too.

Well, I can see bands even at 50-70+ contrast...

Now guess what, was watching Star Cricket HD today, and when camera was in close up mode, there was GRAIN i.e white background with dirt all over the panel.

why my camera aint working :-(....Clearly Anti Glare Filter is not fitted properly..Its as if a Matte filter not pasted properly on a cell screen

Those are not bands. That is problem with picture snap. There is one continuous band that can be seen at very low contrast/brightness. It runs nearly top to bottom and is approximately 10" right to the left edge of TV panel.

im sure this is not IR in your case, but though of sharing these videos. download and run from pendrive, ensure there is no black-bars.

For a normal user who watches tv for say 6-7hrs,with channel changing say for every 15-30min as suggested by FM,who does not use games etc,do u still suggest this break-in-slides.within a month for 6hrs watching the break-in period of 200hrs will over with low settings.Are we going too much on this breaking slides and breaking our TV and pondering what went wrong

Break-in slides help to get over the break-in period quicker and smoother. I say "smoother" because slides help in very clean and even aging of the phosphors because of uniform colours spread across the panel.

Break-in slides are not required but break-in period must be cared for. Refer: Prevent Image Retention and Burn-in

well normally in any electrical gadgets there is factory settings ,whenever we call customer care and they try out all options and to end the customer at the earliest they suggest default/factory settings,did you tried out factory settings and still getting this bands etc.

anyone watching tata sky hd - star cricket??

on star cricket hd while watching match, when ever :

A) A white background comes, it is like dirt all over. i can see thousands of black spots on screen. This is specially so when a over ends and camera is zoomed on bowler or empire or batsman.

B) When a boundary is hit and screen pans, its blurry.

Do you guys face this music, specially in point A.

Images are of poor quality, yet it may help you see DOTS or DIRT on image with empire.

Over all Panasonic TV's are good and proven world over how ever this looks like a one off incident which needs immediate attention by the Pana folks... my 2 cents

I always thought that Panasonic is a good model to go for but this thing have completely changed my perception for panasonic.
Have you contacted the customer support?

I have...Last replacement was a torture from verbal abuses to lies Pana Team did it all....They r simply suggesting this is first time kinds..
