Heartfelt pics of ST50 -- After 200 Hours :-(

I thought I saw (A) twice on 50X50 - a spotty white sightscreen behind umpire & bowler in the last test match. Wasn't able to see a similar image again after that. No spottiness seen on any other whites.

Can anyone please confirm point A???

I saw this. But same time the bottom & side advertisement strip were clean. That means camera lense has some issue - dirt or moisture or resolution beyond optical zoom limit.

I played a recorded match and it was line fine. Current transmission is an issue...

Well, engineer turned up and said all depends on his seniors.

Shocking he did notice bands are all over White Bar as well, and he did admit this is on none of the TVs apart from my blessed baby.

When asked do you feel your seniors might have payed dirty as I had raised matter to CEO level, he just offered a SMILE.

They might very well have played a dirty game as last replacement offered was used one too.

I am ready for final kill now....God Bless such unethical people....

Oh! If this is the case, I think, you should insist on refund rather than replacement. As there is no guarantee that the replacement set is going to be a brand new set and doesn't have any issues. All the best!

Apart form that prepare for consumer court battle if they don't buzz. Make all bills and communication record ahandy. This happened with me with Nokia phone. I kept photo copy of all repair records and just made it clear my intenstion. after that seniors moved and finally I got extended warranty as well as free replacement of part plus gift too.

Write directly to CEO office. Ask them to stop treating Indians like dirt. I had a problem with HTC One X and had it replaced twice. When it didn't work for me I asked for refund. They said not possible even if the world ends. The screen died on me on the first unit. The second one was no good either. I escalated to people sitting in Taiwan and things started to move.

Now I have Samsung Galaxy S3 and pretty happy with the experience.

It is very clear that these companies are interested only in selling with no after sales support. Their policies are consumer friendly for rest of the world but not India.

White bar has bands all over...still they say it's normal

No other tv in showroom had it or none of the other tv with users had it, per Panasonic engineer yet they said its normal.

Fourt percent of screen is full of bars on screen.Yet they say it's normal..

No one would have taken that plasma if he would have seems dirty screen even on white bar....no other tv got it still they say it's normal...

No problems..Time for some action...

Buyers beaware of these people though,.,more details soon...

@ vakharia. I strongly advice you to check for the following things before you pay the moolah to the dealer.

Tell him that you will test the set in the showroom itself. Check the packaging, the plastic thin film on the TV edges to prevent scratches, the usage hours in service menu srv tool, the colour slides in service menu and some HD content for banding bright or dead pixels bands etc. Once satisfied pack it in your presence and pay.

@Audiodoc, thought that is what I would like to do, I do not think that any dealer will allow me to open the pack and test the TV without paying money.
Since they will be unable to sell an open piece to an informed user in future.

So, I can perhaps just check the packing if it is sealed or not.

Secondly the current situation is that there are no pieces (display or new) anywhere in the state.
Hence, no chance of getting a display piece.

However, issues like banding/ dead pixels/ etc. will be possible only after I get the unit at home.
Let 's see.

My new panel has one sluggish pixel. Fortunately I cannot see it on the white background beyond 2 feet so I am fine with it. It is the bright pixels that are bad. I got a benq monitor replaced because of a pink bright pixel.
