Hi friends :)

1.) Our viewing distance is 10 feet and iam confused that should i buy a full hd or not my budget is max 36 thousand but i want to know is it worthy to buy a full HD tv with this distance?

2.) if iam watching a non-HD channel will an FULL HD tv give a better quality in comparison with "HD READY" tv?.

3.) Please tell me which brand gives best durability and after sales support.

Thanks alot :)

1)
As a rule of thumb, the ideal size of the TV screen should be anywhere between .3x and .6x where x is the distance between your sofa and the TV. For example, if the viewing distance is 6 feet (or 72 inches), you can go for a 24? 48? screen.

2)
Unless you are getting a small screen TV like 32? go for 1080p resolution and heres why. More and more TV channels are becoming available in high-definition, the HD picture quality is vastly superior but you need a 1080p TV to experience the difference

3)
samsung (based on my personnel usage of 37" model UA37EH500)
+ points
build quality, more video and audio format support via usb, no of inputs are more than enough 4 hdmi, 2 usb, 1 composite/av, optical audio out, pc input, headphone out, slim design, metal back panel, front panel touch controls, solid mounting stand etc., good sound to cover a big living area so need of extra speakers for normal usage, all inputs and output connection is from sides so flush mounting on wall is possible, hdd support by usb in

- points
slightly overheating the back panel after 3-4 hrs of running (it may be due to the metal), slightly high price compared to philips and toshiba

toshiba (based on my personnel usage of 40" model 40PU201E1
+points
cheap compared to samsung or sony, 2 hdmi, i usb, optical out, pc in , av in component in etc. hdd support by usb in, slim design, light weight

-points
poor built quality and plastic back panel, controls are in the back panel ie, in the side of i/o connection board so its difficult to access, connectios are straight except usb so have to keep a minimum distance in case of wall mounting or shelf mounting, usb source selection is not together with the hdmi or av source selection u have to go to menu for usb source selection,
relatively low volume compared to samsung

check this also
3d - in my view its required if it is for a viewing room

connectivity - if u have an affordable good bandwidth Ethernet connection then go for it otherwise no

full hd 1080p is not required upto 32" 1080i is enough upto 32", if the size is above 32" go for full hd

non-hd channels look slightly better on a hd ready tv than on a full hd tv...
samsung 32f5500 and sony32w650 are full hd tvs which have got fantastic reviews and are excellent on SD....take a demo and choose a tv which looks best for your eyes....all the best

full hd 1080p is not required upto 32" 1080i is enough upto 32", if the size is above 32" go for full hd
Lol, you said it like e=mc, a scientifically proved theory :o
Of course one can buy a 32" 1080P TV, there is a reason why a 32" 1080P TV exists, if one's viewing distance is short, like 4 ft or so. For 720P it will around 6 feet, I don't see a problem with that. Besides the cable signals are 1080i !
