There are few minor drawbacks such as out of the box poor colour accuracy, slightly birghter PQ curve and missing HDMI 2.1 features
Do you have professional TV calibrators nearby? Any standard equipment one can buy to calibrate at home?

If Toshiba 65U7980 is a rebranded Hisense 65U7QF a.k.a H8G - Minus the Android OS, then why Hisense priced 65U7QF at 89,999/- i.e approx 30k more than Toshiba 65U7980 ? Is there a catch ? Similarly, I also doubt whether there is a catch with Toshiba U8080 as well? They might also launch H9F as U8080 thinking that we might buy whatever they launch here and most OEMs take us for granted. For now, I am thinking positively that Hisense is launching H9G as Toshiba U8080 at a competitive price. But is there a catch, that's the question here ? I seriously don't know.Hopefully Toshiba.
I guess they downgrade the panels in India. I remeber that panasonic gx800d in uk was a v.a panel. But in india it is an IPS panel. I don't mind if Toshiba U8080 is a stripped down version of H9G, but for me the panel, hardware and algorithms are very important. I hope it is no different from H9G in Performance.
Yes, highly possible that they might downgrade. Looks like its better we wait and save up some more money and stick with Sony/LG may be in future a Samsung and not fall for any gimmicks by Hisense/TCL or VU Garbage. Expecting something great from these companies in India is a curse. The only reason we are talking about these TVs is price.I guess they downgrade the panels in India. I remeber that panasonic gx800d in uk was a v.a panel. But in india it is an IPS panel. Fingers crossed.
Its because Toshiba U7980 is in all probability last years H8F.which is a slightly inferior tv to 65U7QF.If Toshiba 65U7980 is a rebranded Hisense 65U7QF a.k.a H8G - Minus the Android OS, then why Hisense priced 65U7QF at 89,999/- i.e approx 30k more than Toshiba 65U7980 ? Is there a catch ?
I think you are misinformed about toshiba lineup those so called flagships of toshiba 65U7980 and U8080 are last year hisense models h8f and h9f respectively but not 2020 h8g or h9gIf Toshiba 65U7980 is a rebranded Hisense 65U7QF a.k.a H8G - Minus the Android OS, then why Hisense priced 65U7QF at 89,999/- i.e approx 30k more than Toshiba 65U7980 ? But rear of Toshiba U8080 looks exactly like H9G. May be hardware is different. Let's see.I think you are misinformed about toshiba lineup those so called flagships of toshiba 65U7980 and U8080 are last year hisense models h8f and h9f respectively but not 2020 h8g or h9g
I think this is more likely a downgrade H9G than H9F. Not only the looks but also dimensions of these TVs (H9G and U8080) are very similar. But rear of Toshiba U8080 looks exactly like H9G. May be hardware is different. Let's see.
At 1.88lac, is it not better to just get oled?Hisence just launched 65sx model in Australia . as promised they will launch it in india in this year too.considaring their problems with USA the product may not be launched their .
This is duel cell tv which is more or less equal to oled with 1.88 l mrp.
65" Dual Cell Series SX - Hisense Australia
Bright, brilliant colour and near-perfect black combine on the one screen, thanks to game-changing Dual Cell TV technology. A colour panel and a second, monochrome panel with two million dimming zones combine to bring exceptional light control to an ultra-bright, Wide Colour Gamut 4K screen...hisense.com.au
OLEDs have the burn in fear, dual cell can give better blacks then normal FALDs so very close to OLEDs but without burn in. This TV also comes with 100% DCI P3 coverage so more colors than OLEDs. And final price be a 10-15% cheaper than OLEDs, if not more.At 1.88lac, is it not better to just get oled?
Dual cell is just a black and white oled panel behind a normal lcd panel. It'll be good but still not as good as an oled.
Toshiba U7980 is indeed last year's H8F. It's wouldn't make sense for Hisense to release H8G under it's brand and then under Toshiba's to cannibalize it's own sale. And hence the price difference. But since Hisense is not launching H9G under Hisense, it makes complete sense to launch H9G under Toshiba's brand which atleast have some recognition in India and they can sell it calling it a Japanese Brand in current time of anti-China sentiments.I think you are misinformed about toshiba lineup those so called flagships of toshiba 65U7980 and U8080 are last year hisense models h8f and h9f respectively but not 2020 h8g or h9g
Hmm.. not in case of U8080. It's pretty much evident that the TV is nothing but a rebranded H9G.I think you are misinformed about toshiba lineup those so called flagships of toshiba 65U7980 and U8080 are last year hisense models h8f and h9f respectively but not 2020 h8g or h9g
