Anyone knows how to send parcel to hongkong? I received a faulty DAP. I want send it back to Hongkong for service.

Is it the new HM601 which is having problems? Did something go wrong during the hardware upgrade. I believe you should call Lynx. He may be infamous on these forums but he is a good guy. He will help you as he deals with Wang.

Yes the new one. Power slider is the problem. Within a week I notified Head-Direct about this problem. But I didnt get any response. I again sent a mail now for replacement. And I am asked to send it back to them. I will try get some help from lynx. But I am thinking better send it back and get a replacement. I dont how much its going to cost for shipping. I came to know that it would cost around 3.7k. Any ideas, please, would be appreciated.

Do talk to Amarbir from lynx he may arrange for the replacement at a cheaper cost. Don't open it. Wang will replace it.

It weighs around 600 grams. I got the rate from DHL, but it is for 1kg.

Speed Post and World Net Xpress would be cheaper. WNX uses the same DHL to make the delivery, but rates would be cheaper. But, mostly they are strict about 'electronic goods'.

My newly bought HM601 replaced with HM801. HM601 Player came with issues and power button broken and the sound output, it had reverse stereo. I dont know how I have to describe the reverse stereo [ Left+Right is reversed to Right+Left ]. Ofcourse, no doubt HM601 is enough and I like the warmth sound. Its best though whatever the testing report floating around the net. I decided to upgrade it instead of replace it, because I expected the reverse stereo may be existing in all HM601 and thought of using it as a dac at my work place. I received HM801 within 3 days through DHL, very good service but again HiFiman made a mistake. They forgot send another amp card, which they supposed to send along with HM801 package. I have requested them send it again. [ very thick bond with HiFiMan ]. Third time I am buying from them, they forget atleast one accessories. HM801 is totally different from HM601. Sometimes I dont like overly forwarded mids in HM601, but in HM801 its not like that. Anyway I havent spend much time. Update you later.

But I think the reverse stereo was an issue with your HM-601 alone. The loaner I have does not have this issue.

No eSanthosh, not yet. I checked in customs site for delivered, undelivered and attempted to deliver list files which are provided by customs. But no package is listed in that particular number. I informed Jan regarding this. He said he will send one more if not yet received. I want to confirm it whether it got missed or detained. I am planning to go to local foreign and want to check. Any other way to track the shipment?

I think you should pay a visit to the Foreign Post office to check since it reached Chennai long ago (you mentioned that it was scanned in Delhi on 1st; mine was scanned on 3rd, delivered on 9th). If it's still not reached Chennai customs, may be it is still stuck in Delhi by any chance?

In the IPStracking website which belongs to customs, i tracked the number, records it showing are jan 30th it got received and sent to local destination. Me planning to go to Local foreign post office by Monday because of some work. I will definitely ping srini.

eSanthosh, Does 2stepdance sounds good? Mine got stuck in Delhi i think. Today I went to chennai customs. They said it is not sent to chennai. It may got stuck somewhere. They asked me to call Delhi customs, but unfortunately they are on strike. Tomorrow I have to call again. The concern person who i met today is a good lady, she gave the numbers to whom I call and their numbers too. I think I will get it within few days.
HM801 which I upgraded to my HM601 recently is a good sounding player. Its totally different from HM601. A different sound signature. The amp which came with HM801 is a power amp i think. I cannot increase the volume more than 2 to 3 clicks. It may be good for headphones but not for IEMs. Head Direct from china promised me to send the missing amp card which supposed to come with HM801 within a week. I like the sound coming out from HM801. I can feel difference between HM801 and HM601 and I got sflo2 too. I dont like sflo2. But it worths my 5k investment as an alrounder player. Sflo2 is loud but failed to impress, may have very good configuration but didnt worth it. When compared to my iphone 4g, I feel sflo2 sounds inferior. iphone 4g is detailed but lifeless. Anyway both iphone 4g and sflo2, i am able to hear not more than half an hour. I am getting headache, i feel my ears are paining. Its not for long listening atleast to me. Though I didnt spend much time with HM801 but I feel like I can use it for long hours like its small brother HM601. I really liked the sound of HM601, its so warm. Everyone is telling in different forums that Hifiman products are cheap, poorly designed. I happened to open HM601, though there is a warrenty sticker which blocks the way to open, i took the risk and opened it. HM601 didnt work after few days and power button got broken, so i lost my patience and opened it. I thought I can fix the power button myself. But the layout is totally different in the HM601 board. I realised only after opening the board and felt cannt fix the problem that much easily. I felt its somewhat watchfully designed the board is. Its a three layer design, from the back of the player, the amp section, dac and opamp and rockchip is available and then next is battery, it looks like a tea packet, we wont get any spare battery other than Hifiman. And another pcb for user instructions and display and other in and output connections which is glued to front panel. I am not good in electronics, but what i understand is they tried to seperate both digital signal processing and analog output and to make short signal path. I may be wrong. Excuse me if I am wrong. This design never be so cheap if i am right. Probably Fang is trying different things to give a very good player. Ofcourse soldering is very poor, thats why power button got broken. The way they designed the power button for HM601 is definitely not a good idea. They must improve their design. Its not 100% perfect if an ordinary user sees the outside design. But atlast what the sound I am getting is not cheap. Even though their products are overpriced, the way i am listening to my music makes me to forget the price. Update you later.
