The Harman Kardon will be either 133 or 134. Both ways, that system is seriously crumbled. It sounds good but too less power, too less features. Not even HD audio decoding. I don't think it stands anywhere compared to the value this Onkyo system is offering.
I was also in two minds. Getting a HTiB or get the components individually. But the cost advantage really put me in line with the HTiB way.
In fact I even bought Polk Audio TSi300 for 18K and later wanted to buy the Polk Audio CS10 (center Channel) and PSW110 subwoofer. Wanted to buy Yamaha RX467/Onkyo 508/Denon 1611 or Pioneer 902.
A deeper thought showed me that the price at which I'll be getting only the center channel and the subwoofer, I can buy the whole setup. With the individual selection I would have to pay nearly 30-40K more. Yes, I'd have got a better system but the Value For Money factor is terribly insane with the 3300. The sub is pretty decent, a terrific AVR, nice center channel. Thats all I wanted.
I'll anyway remove the rear channels of my 3300. Move the stock front channels to the back and the front channels will be handled by my Polk Audio TSi300 floorstanders. A decent system in less than 40K.
Even in the stock conditions, the system is very very good, as reported by many reviews.
Sure I'll let you know if we work out a deal. With less people, I do not think it'll be possible to attain that price. (In that case we'll have to get the systems shipped from Coimbtore).
