Integrated stereo amp for KEF Q300

Well I am also looking for amp to my Q300 . In general i like to listen to music louddd , My fav. genres : Rap, RnB , Soul , from time to time Blues/Jazz like K.Melua .

My max budget ~800 U.S Dollars . This will be only stereo system.

Any recommendations ?

I was thinking about Rotel RA04se , Marantz PM7004 (too much for KEFs ? ) PM6002 or even Marantz mini CR-503 series with CD integrated. Any recommendations which will fit best ? :)

Thank you for help.

Which Bookshelf is suitable to a warm sounding Class A 30watts rms amp?
Speaker should be have the sensitivity above 87db & with 6 or 8 ohms in medium budget. Power handling: max 100watt is enough.
Thank you,
sunder

Get the NAD if you like some bass boost and smooth sound without sharp edges along the whole spectrum.
Get the Marantz if you like detailed mids and sparkling highs and can compromise on bass. You will have sharp edges and sound can be fatiguing on long run (especially with the Q300)
.
The Denon stereos fall somewhere between the NAD and the Marantz house sound with portions of smoothness and detail which tend to get better as you go up the model chain.
Cheers

Hey saronoelle,

I too recently bought KEF Q300 BS from PROFX......it was paired with Denon 1912 and at audition room it sounded excellent...but when i got the denon avr 1312 it sounded like a normal sony setup.....was very dissapointed with my setup....after investing i though i had made the right choice bu.......

Finally i have decided to go for a stereo amp.....will audition ARCAM A18 and let you know how it will sound...

I have very much faith on my KEF Q300....it has the potential..i know that just need the right AMP to drive them...

Cheers for your hunt and keep us posted...

Hai
I recently bought KEF Q300. I connected to my Denon AVR1911 for stereo music it was not nice to hear. But when I auditioned the speakers it sounded very good. Then I checked with the dealer they said for pure stereo music I should use an integrated stereo amp or pre amp and power amp combination. Then I checked the reviews of many integrated amps. I found Rotel Ra-04SE and Marants PM7001. Which one I should buy? and what is the price? will Rotel RA-04SE's 40w match KEF Q300?

Thanks

For KEF Q 300 while going for Arcam the question of others is not desirable. How can one justify the quality of good speakers while playing on a budget AV receiver? while
considering the output specification of amps with the power handling of the speakers the
output of the stereo amp is not a prime standard. What is mainly required is the good
stereo amp. My alltime favourite amps for ex. are Rotel RA-930AX and Nad 302 at about
25 W per channel. These sounded very very good on most speakers I tested. Regarding
choice one may know that NAD = Marantz =Rotel, mostly affordable budget models.

Hai,
What about KEF Q300 with Norge Mosfet Ref 2000 amp. Will that be a good combo? Because q300 is a bright spk. and Norge 2000 is a laid-back amp.

Any views on that.

Not sure about Norge 2000 but I have heard KEF Q300 with Norge 4242 and the performance was very close to Marantz 6002, I mean quite pleasing to my ears.

I am on a tight tight budget, How is the Norge 2030/4242 likely to fare when paired with Wharfdale Diamond 9.1s?
I am not at all knowledgeable on these matters, is a 30-40wpc amp enough for such bookshelf speakers?

Hi, this is my first time going on a forum of any kind but have been learning a lot from reading all the messages on line. I am thinking of doing the following....NAD 356BEE AMP - KEF Q300 SPEAKERS...Question...WHICH SUB to put with this set up??? I listen 100% of the time to Mp3 trance and techno so will need a musical sub. Was thinking of a Kef Kube 2 or Kef 400b sub however they dont seem to review at all well. Any suggestions for the best sub to run off the B356EE to go with the Q300's??? Many thanks!!!

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
