I am observing that many people who want to buy the E6 are confused whether it is really worth it.
I am trying to dispel the confusion by quoting the best things said by the various famous review houses about this TV.
I am sure that after reading them , the ones that are skeptical about their decisions will happily go for it.

Firstly the most important thing for we indians....SD performance.
What HDTVTest.com has to say about this......

Standard Definition
Theres almost no chink in the SD processing armour on the TX-L42E6 Viera television. The quality of upscaling was first-rate all the details in the SMPTE RP-133 test card were captured in full and displayed crisply with only minimal ringing. Video-mode deinterlacing was also excellent: we saw no jaggies at all in HQV Benchmarks rotating line test pattern, and only very few jagged edges on the last of the bouncing bars.
As long as [Film Cadence Mode] was engaged (its greyed out for non-film or HD content), the LED TV correctly identified and processed 2:2 cadence over 576i, and 3:2 over 480i. Add in deep blacks as well as accurate greyscale, and the Panasonic TX-L42E6B is an excellent standard-def performer.

And another important thing for the buyers...SOUND quality..
HDTVTest.com says....

Sound Quality
The Panasonic TXL42E6Bs acoustic performance was par for the course for a flat-screen television. Speech clarity was decent, and volume could be cranked up reasonably high without distortion.

And the conclusion by HDTVtest...

The precision offered by the televisions calibration controls, not to mention its standard-definition handling, is simply top-notch, making for accurate and compelling pictures in both SD and HD. If youre looking to buy a 42in LED LCD HDTV which delivers content the way they should be presented without any unnecessary behind-the-scene meddling, we recommend you give serious consideration to the TX-L42E6 the first non-plasma Viera that is not weighed down by poor blacks.
Highly Recommended.

Well...there is only one small issue, the Panels across the E6 range are not the same. Where The 42e6 has a VA panel...the 32" model has an IPS panel, so I am sure the black levels would suffer on the 32" panel. But nevertheless, both the sizes have got equally good reviews...n one can't go wrong gettin either the 32" or 42" or the 50".

So can we conclude, that the panny E6 is one of the best led tv by Panasonic ?

Yes. definetly.
But it appears that panny has done a decent job on the 32 inch as well...
This is what whathifi.com has to conclude on the 32e6.....

"all-round 32in TV picture weve seen in ages. Its easy to use, has a good selection of smart and streaming features, and most important of all a stunning screen thats head and shoulders above the competition."

Isn't it crazy.....:licklips:

In some reviews they have mentioned about viewing angle issue for 42e6.will that be a problem for normal viewing?

Yes. But which led has 180 degrees viewing angles?
Take for example the Sony W950. Worst viewing angles are reported. It is so narrow it seems that review houses have stripped of a star in its ratings.
With the tone of the reviews, it appears that E6 may not have that narrow a viewing angle, as that of W950.
But if one is too conscious about it, one should definetly experiment this aspect in the showroom. At the end, it all depends on how conscious one is , of this aspect in led tvs.

Well...I have one more small issue with E6, it's higher input lag which is double of Sony w6 series ? Now, daily viewing it may not make much of a difference. Though it's input lag is around 30ms, is that really really hight...since I have no idea on how much is considered high. But, I am into gaming...n I will be getting a ps4 soon...as of now I have a ps3 n I don't want this input lag thingy messing with my gaming.

I know that Sony w6 Is the best when it comes to gaming...but would panasonics high input lag be noticeable while gaming or not ?

Though I am already decided with the E6, but just wanna clear last few doubts before jumping in.

It shouldn't matter unless one is buying tv only for gaming purpose and is a very very serious gamer.
For example somebody playing online multiplayer games and want to post the best score for a game like "Black ops".
For enjoying the game at home, remember, highest score than anybody on earth is not important here, a 34ms(optical test) is more than sufficient.

Happened to see the 50ET5D in the Pana shop when I bought my 42E6D. Looked tempting enough though did not give it a good demo.

Well, it cost me Rs 57k. But then, this is Nagpur, probably the city with the highest taxes in the country. I wouldn't surprised if you find it for say, 53k in Delhi which probably has the lowest taxes!

I'm no expert reviewer as some fellow members are!
Great looks for starters. Gorgeous when it is off!
Both HD as well as SD from Tatasky look extremely good. VA panel does mean some compromise on viewing angle. Sound is quite good. Clear dialogue.
No analog audio or headphone out. Only one optical audio out.
Have't tried it with blu ray as I haven't got any as yet. Will rectify that shortly.

Sorry, unable to post pictures as it is right now in its packing box due to ongoing renovation in the house. Should be up and running soon.

Had considered it against the Sony 650A and Samsung F5500/F6400 for a budget of 60k.
Have never been a fan of Sony. Have always found Sony reds over-saturated. Same was with the 650A. Blacks were nowhere to be seen on it. Looked just like a budget LG which is understandable as the panel is from LG.
Samsung F5500 was slightly disappointing. F6400 was quite a match but then those looks of the Panny! And an additional 2" at a lower price. Was never really interested in 3D in any case.

Gurujee gyan dijiye! How do you include two different Quotes in the same post?

Bro...I want a complete review of your e6d, a thorough review is possible. Specially it's smart features including YouTube etc...cause from few reviews I got to know that it's YouTube app is not upto the mark n has slow response n doesn't play HD YouTube content properly n so on.

Would request you to put its smart features n wifi to test n let us know. Regarding its PQ I am clear...I have already finalized the 32e6d, but taking might go all out n go for the 42" model near Diwali.
Though PQ is my priority, but another reason for me to select e6 over w650 is built in wifi...n I can only out it to good use if it's YouTube app n web browser is good enough n responsive. I dot care about any other apps.

I'm also confused between sony w670 & panasonic e6 in 42".
Unable to decide which one to get, panasonic e6 looks are more better than sony though but sony user interferance is good, which one to get ?
I'm getting panasonic e6 for - 52500 (with bill) & sony w670 for 49500 (grey).
