Is Flipkart.com safe to buy?

I am keen to buy a tv within 40k budget. My main priorites are pq. I have 2 watching distances at 8 feet and 14 feet.

I want to know whether the following model is safe to buy through flipkart.com,
or can you suggest some other model to buy. I reside in bangalore. I am against plasma.

I would rather suggest you not to buy TV's online and go for a good dealer after confirming all the preferences and warranty status.

flipkart is safe to buy and their packing and response is very good compared to others in India, I bought most of my electronics from them!

I have bought small items from flipkart like CDs,USB drives and Bluray discs. They deliver promptly and take cash on delivery. Their after sales service is also good. One Bluray disc was faulty, it froze after playing for 30 mins everytime. I contacted them and they very promptly sent a replacement which worked well.

I have bought smaller items from flipkart and i have been very happy with their service delivery.

However i will not recommend you buying something like a tv from flipkart or any other online store. It may be better to go to a dealer, check all the features, warranty etc and then buy from the dealer.

The Services of Flipkart is prompt. I have been buying various items from them regularly.

I think they will despatch TV etc. from their facility at Bangalore.

Flipkart is very safe to buy. But I would be hesitant to place big ticket items' order on them. Not because they would not deliver, etc., but in case of issues and things like that, a dealer may be better via media. In any case, Flipkart does not deliver large items everywhere.

The biggest (in terms of size) I have ever bought from them is a Brother printer. I trust Flipkart for genuine products and customer care. I would certainly recommend them for any products, but make sure you are getting a good deal as usually you get better deals on other online retailers.

Flipkart is a trusted online seller and safe compared to many other online portals.
It has been good experience so far.

I am not so sure about the TV purchase online and the shipping risks involved.
All other small items it is safe to order from flipkart.

I have done few transactions on flipkart for me and for my friends, my experience so far with them is positive, I do lot of online purchase from eBay, I feel shipping is quicker in flipkart than ebay.

If you are planning to buy television, then I may ask you to check with them whether they would do double box packaging, will they insure your product? Etc There is always risk involved in shipping sensitive electronic goods no matter who the vendor is. I would prefer to buy in a local store unless online sellers give a good price difference.

My experience purchasing a 32" LCD TV from Flipkart(FK) was positive. They delivered via Bluedart (outside BLR). The shipment was not double boxed, just in the original cardboard box from the manufacturer. It arrived without even a scratch, though and ahead of schedule. Even the box was not damaged. Installation and setup was done by the manufacturer service center.

Not sure whether BLR TV deliveries from FK are via courier service or Flipkart Logistics. People have indicated in FK comments that they have had damaged on arrival TV's exchanged for new ones via FK's 30 day return policy.
