Welcome to the Club !!
so you are the guy in india in the pinkfish forum ;)

To all those looking at buying lencos locally..it is far cheaper and easier to get this shipped from the UK than the overpriced pieces here !

Thanks Arjun,
I never registered in Pinkfish forum though.
Yes they are cheaper abroad, but shipping spoils the deal.

Arjun,

Sachu has the Lenco L75 whilst the one shown in the pinkfish media link is a Goldring Lenco GL75 ;)

The pics of the 2 TT's clearly show the difference :p

My bad sachin.
Denom, the GL75 and the L75 are exactly the same but that in the UK this was marketed/distributed by Goldring , as was done by Bogen in the US, hence called the goldring GL75 and bogen 75 respectively

All that means is there will be another Lenco 75 (GL75) in india..and maybe this forum soon :ohyeah:

Congrats Sachin
I am not a TT man but looking at the excitement here it appears you have got a great deal here.

If you ask me, the Lenco L75 has more value than the Goldring badged ones, being made in switzerland & all the associated swiss precision :ohyeah:

Maybe am getting carried away but do not feel so happy with goldring attached to lenco

Had visited a site which had all the info on lenco & later the goldring lenco company but unfortunately cant find it now :o

not sure if the above is correct as its exactly the same...only the badge is Goldring .value is the same as all were manufactured in switzerland except for the platter which was in Italy.

for less-endowed people, like me
Please don't say that. :(
When are you taking the plunge?
:sad:Have three TTs but none in working condition. My work is keeping me so occupied that I hardly find time to indulge in my favourite pastime.
Any progress on the GRR speakers?
Unfortunately no:sad:

May be my palate is full so the motivation is not there I guess. BTW, I'm onto a couple of DIY endeavors. Will start threads soon. ;)

Hi all,
My Lenco L-75 arrived today from Germany. One kind Lencoheaven member find a nice deal locally, packed it beautifully and shipped to me.It came without plinth and arm.It looks to be in nice condition.I will dismount everything, bearing, motor etc.I will need help from members.I have named the thread raining vintage TTs as I know few other members are also getting TTs(more Lencos and Thorens to follow;)).Posting few pics of my L-75:

Regards,
Sachin

Congrats Sachin, looks in terrific nick. Its landed in right hands, one of the leading DIYers (in the phono space) on this forum. Can't wait to see how your build progresses.

Nice find Shafic.Do you plan to make a plinth or will use stock?I will dismount bearing and motor tomorrow for proper wiring, cleaning and lubrication.

Regards,
Sachin
