If it was not the price of blu-ray, I would have bough more DVDs. Total expenditure stands same but number of movie collection gone down.

First of all congrats on your purchases.

Don't worry... even if you have paid a higher price and getting less movies, you will not regret the amazing picture and audio quality Blu-ray has to offer.

BTW, The Patriot is an amazing movie and is in my wishlist to be bought on blu-ray.

+1 Saket.
It does make sense to buy Bluray discs instead of DVDs, even if it comes at little higher price.
Because IMO Bluray is the format which is not going to be fade away for long. Afterall Studios have already spent millions of dollars in bringing most of the old and new movies to this format. So I don't think any new format in future can take place sooner. And for the home viewing, this format is quite sufficient for 1080p resolution and HD audio, even upto 100" screen and quite big room size.
I have almost stopped buying DVDs now and only investing in Blurays. (Except few good old Hindi movies for which Producers will never bother to introduce Bluray format).

3. Trilogy of Batman (incl Batman begins, Dark Knight, Dark Knight rises) - Blu ray

Lookin for the Clint eastwood collection with four western movies

I have the other collection with the first 3 movies other than Hang 'Em High,
but I can confirm that, "For A Few Dollars More" is the only film without Region C playback, all the others are Region Free.

Got the flipkart stuff and awaiting the Amazon stuff. This new standard shipping is mainly for India and they do collect Import Fee deposit and is fulfilled by Aramex. So fingers crossed! My last experience with Standard shipping was in 2001 and it wasn't pleasant:rolleyes:
 
Is the movie "zero dark 30" released in DVD in India ? As per the news, the DVD/Blu-ray release was in 19th Feb'2013, but I couldn't get it in big DVD shops.
