Lg 55lm7600

The product was in stock until 2 days back. I actually raised a customer request for buying assistance with Flipkart and they assured me it is in stock, it is sourced by them and the delivery will be handled by their Logistics company. Then yesterday the status changed to out of stock. I called up again and I was told they cannot confirm when it will be restocked. So that's a bummer.

Also 55LM6700 is now selling in the stores at 1.55k along with 3d camcoder, 3d blue ray player and home theater system. I checked both LG Brand Shop and Reliance, they both have the same offer.

Do you know what the lowest price one can buy 55LM6700 in Bangalore?

This is a VERY good offer for 55LM6700 - take it fast! I don't care much about 3D camcorder (I have tried it once - wasn't impressed), but the HTS costs something around 25 K, and then you will need the 3D BD player anyway (if you want to enjoy 3D movies). So, overall, a very good deal - get it ASAP! And sorry, I am not aware of any dealerships in Bangalore - I live in Delhi!

For the moment let's ignore corner bleeding... apart from it there are 2-3 hot spots with different contrast... viewing angle is poor... if u move like 20-30 degree there is a visible drop in contrast....

Regarding faulty TRUE MOTION : when this feature on.. in fast motion judder is there.... there are moment where you can see 3 cricket balls (ghosting both ways)

After paying exorbitant price of 1.5 L .... it's little disappointing.

Update: Complain is escalated, technical team of LG going to come tomorrow for 2nd time.

What are the chances that these issue are TV specific - meaning that you might need to replace your TV? I own an LG 3D TV myself, but have never been troubled by any of the issues. The screen performs very well at even larger angles - though I personally like to sit as directly in front of the TV as possible. And as for the TruMotion issue, I am really curious to know what comes of your meeting with LG people - do update us after they are done.

LG LM6700 55 inch is available at Kol EZone @ 1.24lacs...why such a big difference?

Avijeet,

It's not worth the efforts. The series has inherent issues. Why not settle for Panasonic ET5 or Samsung ES6200 series? Panasonic can go much brighter and has better contrast. It's motion is better and offers passive 3D.

I am planning to buy a 47" or 55" 3D TV soon, getting confused between
1. Panasonic OR LG
2. If LG 55LM6200 or 55LM7600, likewise 47LM6410 or 47LM7600

Does larger LEDs (55") have issues which smaller (47") dont?

I am already using Panasonic Plasma 42", picture quality has been amazing! Service wise I had issues.

Opinion please

Avoid LG at sizes above 47". The issues are less noticeable in smaller sizes, however, they are still there.

For 55" either Panasonic ET5 or Samsung ES6200 are good options. Samsung you'll find the picture a bit processed, but only if you do a side by side comparison. Also, viewing angles are not too great. I liked the ET5. Though you may lose on some picture depth compared to ES6200.

Take a demo of both to make up your mind. Well you be watching lots of SD or HD?

There are other displays, a little better than these 2 models but way over priced.

Thanks, I watch more of HD content.

What should be a good street price for ET5?

I think I would like to stick to budget of Rs. 1.25-1.45L, any other suggestions?

47" is better than 55"

in 55" the following problem

1. Screen Uniformity is an issue
2. Banding is prominent (while watching test cricket)
3. Viewing angle not good
4. Hot Spot and Corner Bleeding is more

55ET5 well be approx 1.3L once you bargain with the dealer. Some may offer for few thousands less.

If you are looking for 46" than the HX850 is good but I'd recommend a bigger screen for HD since its your primary source.

Infact I have my heart set to buy atleast a 55" however I got scared reading the issues with larger screens. I am definitely going to take up demo of 55ET5 specially since it is PASSIVE 3D (later edited .... looks like its Active 3D)

How much difference does Edge LED and True/LED Plus make? LG Models boast a LED Plus.

It seems LED Plus have an array of more LEDs stuffed than a conventional edge-lit LED tv. Theoretically, because of more LEDs are being used for the backlighting, and each of them can be individually controlled, effective local dimming can be realized.
This amounts to deeper blacks and also increase in the color contrasts.

But practically, when did LED tvs produce deeper blacks and accurate colors(the very best try to come closer though) than plasmas?:ohyeah:

LED plus does not mean there are more LEDs or their arrangement is different. It's just another way to trick consumers to buying something that is ineffective and useless research. Having said that, Sony's pseudo dimming is miles ahead of LG. Samsung is also way better than LG.

This is debatable i can personally vouch for 7 Samsung TVS that have failed in 2 years, 5 of them after 1 year of warranty is got over. My own 37" TV gave up after 4 years.
