LG Blu-ray BD550 - Avoid it

I am also considering buying this.. but having second thoughts due to lack of DLNA capability(stream files from PC). The next version BD570 has the DLNA, but not yet available in India.. as per one of the sales guy @ TMC Hyd it can be expected in Feb along with LG's new TV models. That is probably the reason BD550 is being discounted right now.

Ohh..so you mean to say only for the blu-ray BD550 is gud enough...

- is the difference between WDTV and BD550 huge? I may be able to chk BD550 in retail outlet...but it is not possible for me to compare the WDTV output as i (or any frnds) dont have one......

- ANy idea abt the chipset used by BD550 for upscaling?

The chipset used is Mediatek MT8530 (googled). I should add one thing yesterday I bought my friends 500 GB WD Essentials HDD and connected it to the BD550 USB port. It was not able to recognize the device and that message was displayed on the screen. When I connected it with the WD Live the HDD was recognized and was able to play. Not sure why. Definitely WD would play most of the file formats.
