Will be using it for HD Channels , BluRay movies, and xBox Games.

Let me know, which one do you suggest.

blind choice ST/GT panel from panasonic plasma...you try it with a original blu ray disk...I bet you will look back into any other model.
however sony HX is also good.check both and decide.

dont go for anything elase.....dont trust me.you experiment yourself

also another idea can buy a infocus DLP projector within 1.5 lakh....will blow away anything.

a home theter projector.there are two types......just like plasma/led

DLP/LCD based.....
so I am suggesting a ahome there projector under 1.5 lakh will make you wow rather than a 50 inch panel.

Buy Epson TW8000 projector. Gives gr8 performance for the money. But for a projector the viewing area must be completely dark!!! Hence decide properly if you want to buy a projector or a TV !!!

Lets calculate....5000 hours lifespan....weekly 3 movies..
10 hours week.550 hours a year.......8 years.....long time for enjoyment.
yes a 1 lakh projector bulb costs around 10k to 15k inr.

Always go for passive 3D(LG is the best in this) then cgeck out the contrast ratio,response time

And it looks like, Panasonic dont sell 55 inches.

All I see 50 inch or 47 or 65 inches.

So, we are looking for GT series 50 inch ?

Suggest you to stay away from pana leds..those have worst ratings in CNET review...stick with Sony HX850..it's best led tv now and way ahead of Lg cinema 3d tv and pana leds.
