guyzzzz...i have sony DAV-DZ340K ...i want to play movies with 5.1 surround but the .mkv file that are available online doesnt play on it wat should i do????

How are you trying to play the movie on your sony system? If using a usb port then check the audio/video codecs supported by your sony system. Based on your player support use any freeware audio/video converter and convert the mkv file to the format supported by your player.

Well I had the same problem with my Sony Home Theater system I had to convert these using ConvertX to DVD and play them.

bro...wat settings should i keep to keep it as it is ...i mean full 5.1 surround with 720p video ???

Is it a dvd ht? Then it won't play 720p videos. What you can do is convert the video into dvd format.

Well I had the same problem with my Sony Home Theater system I had to convert these using ConvertX to DVD and play them.

Will the sound and video quality deteriorate if converted to DVD?
Will full 5.1 sound be availble even after converting?
