Mobile Lost!! Trace it!!

Hi Folks,

Useful when your mobile is lost. (Do it before it gets lost.)
1. Dial *#06# from your mobile.
2. Your mobile shows a unique 15 digit in alphanumeric.
3. Note this number anywhere except in your mobile.
4. In case of your mobile loss - mail this 15 digit IMEI number to [email protected]
5. No need to go to police. (Iam not sure though!!!)
6. Your mobile will be traced within next 24hrs via a complex system of GPRS and internet.
7. You will find where your hand set is being operated even in case your number is being changed.

Send an email about the following details to [email protected].
Your Name:
Address:
Phone Model:
Make:
Last used number:
Email for communication:
Missed date:
IMEI No:

Keep the above information for emergency use.

Nice try.
Of course its very possible to track down your phone using IMEI, but in India anything that may actually hamper misdeeds is usually shut down fast.

Remember when there was a crackdown on Chinese phones which had no IMEI - how they were rendered useless by the Telecom Operators. This means they have all the data with them. The Govt if it has will can enforce rules.
BUT they all are Just unwilling to utilize it.

And lesser we talk about out Govt/Police - the better.
The machinery will ensure that all the big corporate houses, HNIs, VIPs, crooks and criminals get to save their behinds ... but when it comes to helping the common man ...

but if you have lost your mobile then visit below mentioned site and enter your IMEI no , if somebody would have found your lost mobile and would be willing to give it back to you then he would have registered that phone in this site as found and then u can contact and get your phone back; but if its not listed their then you can report your lost phone der and announce reword to find it, as soon as anybody will get youll informed; it excellently works I used it. Above email is not working but lot of articles of internet are suggesting to send mail to this id, which is just waste of time.
i just check this site [email protected] , track lost mobile, track imei which even gives the proof that is email id doesn't work anymore
