Movies Discount and Offer threads :D

Amazon UK has some titles 2 for 10. Also check out the Hitchcock sets. Much cheaper than on amazon.com
I have ordered some from the 2 for 10 offer and few others. The prices shown at checkout are lesser than that on the product page. Is this some kind of VAT/tax reduction? The same happens on amazon.de but not on amazon.com. Has anybody seen this on other sites as well for shipping movies and other stuff to India?
Checked with a BDP. Cheaper on amazon.co.uk compared to amazon.de but the German site has much higher shipping costs rendering it cheaper to import from the UK site.

Actually they give you VAT refund as it is an export for them. It is approximately 20%. So the price reflected on European sites includes VAT and adjusted before the final billing (few others don't give such benefits like Zavvi or Hut).

So if the price is 40, divide it by 1.2 to get the approximate price and add the shipping to it.

But US sites are pre VAT prices and if it is shipped internally they adds the Tax (typically around 7%) for the State they are shipping to. But if you are ordering from India, no such tax applies and final price is what is being posted on the site, just add the shipping and customs fees deposit.

I am also worried, after getting involved in the Blu-Ray business..... Started BD purchasing from July 2013 and spent lot of money on it, seems it will never end.

Sometimes I think to get rid from all my stuff, it is making me poor.

i have recovered a little bit after the 50%off-broke.:o

Now I will be sold with the home/vehicles all.

Yes, I already have mostly good titles. So nothing huge shopping from these, but have another titles in cart worth 16K :(

last time i was for individual titles
this time, i will strictly stick to box sets...trilogy sets which I havent.

Buying Boxsets, Trilogy are the Best way of saving money. But In India, the boxsets are STILL overpriced  Only when discounts like 50% came, the boxsets became reasonable priced.
