My New Banana Plugs From Nakamichi

Hi Srinisunder

I received 8 banana plugs from you today...Just wanted to thank you so very much for such a kind gesture on your part.....In fact I thought I would remind you today to send your bank details and voila I get a package from you in the next 30 mins....

Thanks a ton again....

Thanks for your confirmation..

No need for payment and it is an friendly pass:) sleeping in my cupboard for last few weeks and hope now it will be awake.:p

Received 10 pairs of banana plugs from dranil as a free gift.:yahoo::clapping: Thanks Dr. Anil for this wonderful gift.

On my denon 1612, I found the holes where the banana plugs are to be inserted, covered by a black rubber or plastic. How do I remove it? Do I need to pierce it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

use a pair of thin 'long-nose' pliers.
Just gently insert one of the 'noses' into the hole and then pull it out. The teeth on pliers grip it on the way in, so it has to come out when you remove the pliers.

I forgot, wear a helmet ;)....

Thanks. My finger nails were enough because they were just plastic plugs which can be easily removed.

Happy to hear that you received them in good condition and you liked them.
Happy listening :)

So where is the review on improvement in SQ after using Banananana plugs? By now there should be half-a-dozen reviewers exulting poetics about how it is making their amp and speakers sing ... :ohyeah:

I am using the banana plugs for ease of use only. I didn't find any SQ improvement.;).

Hmmm how disappointing!! I distinctly recall the Chord SS speaker cable had snap, slam and sizzle with banana plugs and then I rushed out to buy the same cable without banana plugs and it does not deliver the same 3S'es.

So I am looking for banana plugs/spades that will deliver on this front.

What are the options for me locally? I need very thin plugs not 4mm fat ones. Budget below 1000/-

The best audiophile connection is to open the speaker binding posts and either remove the crossover or directly solder the speaker cable wires to the crossover.

In my opinion removing the crossover outside the box is better as you can shift to real bi amping as well as using an active crossover network but that would only be possible if the crossover circuit is smaller than the hole for the binding posts.

DarshanJ was kind enough to get these plugs for me (4 pairs) from the authorised dealer for MX cables in Lamington road for Rs. 140 per pair.

Hi all. I hate being ripped off. I bought and paid for 48 plugs from nakamichiplug.com I paid using paypal, but was unaware of the 45 day cut off for claims thinking I'd give them time. 7 emails, no response. No plugs. Not even shipped. I shouldn't have trusted a company. Please don't make my mistake.

You have to write them a mail, confirming the Transaction.
You should have got a acknowledgment mail from them, you need to confirm their mail. Then only you will get it. I got mine in 15 days time.

but the 2mm seems to be half the cost of the 4mm - is that going to reflect in quality?

also is 2mm considered to have better performance than 4mm?

and will 2mm require special sockets - as opposed to the normal ones in an amp/speakers etc?
