Hello Vino,
Good to see lots of Audio fans moving towards analog,Hope the TT is going to blow away the Digi sources. All the best.
By the way, whats the Model number and where you got this stuff. Seems its pretty lean and near. what is the amp and speakers you collected. Had an impression of driving some record on it it.
hey, curious where you got it from in chennai. Price also if you can share
I am sorry but Denon 10k TT,model no 29f doesn't have any chance against vintage TT of same price.
Regards,
Sachin
Agreed Sachin... but for a beginner of this age... Denon 29F is enough I think...
Denon TT for 10K That too new :yahoo:
I think its time to visit Chennai Next week. Thanks a lot for the info. But I have some crush for Vintage Technics:licklips:,Any chance you could request your friend for another Offer?
It would be great,if you could be a route map for my TT Era.
So where you got the LP's in chennai? again sorry for more questions, just queries to know.
hyeah:
Costs Rs 7.5k. It is direct drive fully automatic. One of my friends arranged this from Radio Market.
Hi TT lovers,
Denon releasing new TTs and the basic one is costs Rs 9,800/ brand new. Available in Chennai Profx (Anna Salai, opp to TVS). Pre Amp inbuilted. No need for phono amp. U can use available amp in the market. Performance also good (I witnessed the demo before purchase my Technics).
Now I heard that HMV also decided to release new TTs from this year.
Hello Vinojasan,
The Denon TT in the range of 10K have been on offer since quite some time now; not a new release. Forum member Abhraneel from Bangalore owns one of such.
Apart from Denon, another legendary brand-Lenco had TT in that price range too, but definitely not in league with their own legendary or other vintage turntables like Technics, Sony, Pioneer, JVC etc.
The 29F is intensively made of plastic and the user does not have an option to change the cartridge. Hence, it is very likely that an audio enthusiast, even if he is a beginner, will grow out of it within a few months. On the other hand, 10K will fetch some decent entry level vintage turntables which are built much better, hence take a call accordingly. The inbuilt phonostage is mostly crap for serious listeners.
Just my 2 cents on this!

Saket

I started on my own with a humble Teac P988 fully automatic TT, it served we well but i grew out of it in a year's time, then moved to a Technics SLBD20B after which my lovely Technics SL3200 landed at home. Honestly, the P988 was a faithful TT and played its music sincerely. Personallly I thought it was better than the SLBD20B. But both these plastic belt drive turntables are were no match for the SL3200. The tonearms on the plastic turntables were very basic, even though the SLBD20B had a changeable p-mount. At the end of the day, I never regret having used these TTs. I enjoyed music on them too
I am sorry, but beginner will start to hate vinyl after using this TT.Your Technice is definitely better than 29f.

Sachin
