OLED TV's price/best quote thread

This is one of the times when paying from a credit card really helps. You can block the payment(raising a dispute) after paying and all the LG store guys can do is cry and take the TV back. You don't pay from a credit card, your bank does. All you do is pay the bank back at the end of month.

Unless there's a big discount on other payment options, I always pay big ticket items from my AmEx card. Helps a lot with disputes since their customer care is amazing.

@DarkLord I hope you get a new TV or a big discount, but please keep this in mind from next time. Credit cards are a powerful weapon for a consumer when you use it right (and not as a free money).

@DarkLord You can use above thread which is more relevant to these discussions.

I had the same thing pulled on me by a local Sony dealer. If your sales guys are not falling in line do mail in to LG with this forum link and all other proofs. For me it took only a couple of hours after the mail for Sony to intervene. In Bangalore many shops have upfront told me b9/c9 stocks are demo units, so potential buyers be wary.

Amex is the best for situations like these, the only reason i have one of those. Its just sad that there is never any offers on them.

Thank you so much guys for helping me out and for all your suggestions. I will continue my discussion on this thread from now on and I will not clutter this thread with this off topic matter.
Thanks.

I got mine as lifetime free during an offer in 2017. And there are plenty of offers on them. I get 6.25% reward rate if I spend over 1k 4 times a month, there are plenty of hotels with discounts for AmEx and you get e-mails for special offers all the time.

AmEx is a lifestyle card, not a rewards one. You need to keep another one with high rewards with it and use them in tandem whichever is right.

Anyway, we're getting off-topic so I won't continue this. But using it to buy an OLED is a great choice especially in such a situation.

Hi, I have been offered a 65 inch LG B9 for Rs. 1.89 lakhs (box piece). There is not much scope for further negotiation. The dealer is stating that any lower offers from anywhere should definitely be for a demo piece!

I was originally planning to get a Sony 95G in the 1.4-1.5 lakh range. I would like views on:

1) Whether the price quoted for B9 is good?
2) Since it's a 2019 model, are there any important features that are missing in B9?
3) Is spending additional 45k on B9 really worth it? I have been using a VU TV, and hence, either one should look splendid in my eyes.
4) Since its very rare to find a B9/C9 nowadays, will the prices of any oled tv be in the above range during Diwali sales with all offers?

Thanks

That is priced very high. And I don't think it's worth it to go through all that headache. Dealers will say anything to make a sale, and you will have no clue to verify. So you're better off getting a CX/BX.

And for what its worth, during 2019 Diwali, C9 65inch dropped to around 1.72L at its lowest.
Granted this year is different, but, 1.89L for a B9 is straight out pointless.

Thanks. Then I think it would be a better idea to wait for the Diwali offers. Hopefully some 65 inch oled models would be priced below 2 lakhs.

What would be a good price for a 65 B9? One good thing about the one I am looking is that it is definitely not a demo piece.

1.5-1.6 for a fresh piece.but wait for diwali.also try to extend budget by 10-15k and get CX.its a better tv and worth the extra money.

I just gone through icici web and surprise to see card disscaunt for Diwali.
Samsung -Get up to 20% cashback (maximum of 20,000) on electronics
Lg- 15% upto 15000
Flipkart and Amazon coming soon
Sony 10000 cashback.min 15000
Can we imagine diwali price based on current price?
For ex .65 cx is 2.7 l- 43 inch tv worth 35k=2.35- 15 k cash back= 2.2l
Just for fun....,,,,,

A8H has been listed on sony website. Just saying, not sure if it will be a better value for money as compared to cx. The price has not been revealed as on yet.

I seen that uk prices are near to us.this model cost 2.4l in uk.mostly we will get same price.but i wonder how much a8g price will foll down as it already listed on Flipkart and Amazon at 1.9l.***offline ????

Isn't that too low? The display pieces of B9/C9 were quoted in the range of 1.6 lakh in Bangalore.
Wait till diwali. Now is the worst time to buy tv.Last years models are cheaper.but you may have headache of used piece. This years flagship are expensive but will be significantly cheaper in diwali.

I can not say 100% but most probably u will get CX below 2.so no point of getting B9 for 1.9.

Went to a RD store here in Bengaluru to check for 65" X9500G which they didn't have, had watched 55" CX, even the clarity is mind boggling burn-in risk is in my mind asking me to stay away from that, promised 65" TV to wifey 65" CX is not in my reach. 55" is itself 1.52 including CB on HDFC CC(1.79-15k for TV(32")-8k CB on CC)

You can also consider 65" X90H if it satisfies you, if X95H ain't available by Diwali, Saw this video and I am so impressed how it's able to match LG OLEDs, I am very impressed with Sony's colour processing as well. Try to get an audition of X90H and you should get 65X95H below 1.50L if size is still your main consideration over an OLED TV. But CX has some caveats over C9 that you should know, It doesn't support any dtx codecs and HDMI 2.1 is limited to 40gbps bandwidth. If you are getting a brand new non-demo piece 55" C9 for 1.25L or a 65" C9 for 1.80L then it's bang for the buck.

I'll check this n audit 9000h too, thanks!

So my current options are

1. Buy the 65 c9 for 1.82
2. Buy the LG GX for 2.38
3. Let go of the last sealed pack 65C9 deal above and wait for LG GX/CX to come down.

What do you think guys? I have to inform my dealer tomorrow.
