OLED TV's price/best quote thread

That's unfortunate

Unfortunately no. Guess I'm clueless on how to take proper macro shots. :) I can confirm that the sealed box pieces at Girias on the 55 inch and 65 inch had DAU suffix.. I think DAULXL
I went to the showroom and took pic DAULXL is qdoled. Zoom into the pic and see

I purchased a Samsung S95D TV yesterday, following are the best prices quoted to me by the sales person at Bajaj Electronics, Hyderabad.

65" LG G4 = 2.24L
77" Samsung S90D = 3.10L
77" Samsung S95D = 3.38L

I had to mention that I don't want the 'free' 55" TV before they reduced the price by about 50K on Samsung models. I also got 15K cash back on my ICICI credit card but the EMI has like around Rs. 700 admin fee, so my final cost comes to about 3.24L I suppose. I was in a hurry this time, so didn't check prices at multiple stores which I always used to do. I was told the delivery will be on Thursday and installation will be on Friday. I was told the TV comes with both table stand and wall-mount even though wall-mount maybe from the retailer instead of from Samsung, they're not sure yet. I was told the TV comes with 3-year warranty, they asked for 41K for extended 2-year warranty, which I didn't take.

Quotes for the above models were about 10K higher at a different Bajaj Electronics(here 77" LG C4 = 3.36L, Samsung S990D soundbar = 82.9K + 6K cashback) and were much higher at Reliance Digital. No store was willing to sell me 77" LG G4 but I wouldn't have bought it anyway as it was likely 4.25L+.

So I think we are safe. Just wondering if any forum members were able to do a proper side by side comparison between the s90d and s95d with various content and lighting conditions. While the matte screen confused me at times there were also times that I felt the s95d was superior w.r.t brightness, color and highlights. It maintains its edge across scenes if you minus the matte screen shortcomings but then again i couldnt get a place where i could play around with the lighting. At home we have yellow lights and those are nowhere close to being bright as the showroom . Wondering if there's a problem with black levels taking the plunge with an S95d in such cases.

Planning to check on prices in couple of shops today in Bangalore for C4 and G4 65".
Thinking of RD and Devi. Any other suggestions? And what is the best price I could negotiate for?
Thanks

got the G4 55'' for 1.27L yesterday from RD, there was some bullshit offer where if you pay 5000 in advance, they'll give you some mixer grinder, got 1000Rs from the salesman instead of the mixer grinder, so final price of TV was 1.26 (rounded off)

Also got the extended warranty from RD, since they were offering me 2 years accidental damage protection (will work in tandem with LG's base 3 year) and 2 years extended warranty after LG's base 3 year warranty for 16k

congrats. is the extended warranty platinum or gold?

P.S. how do we link the rd purchase with lg's site? for warranty/invoice?

Also, I gave my email Id/number to the rd reps but when I created an account using that same email, my purchase wasn't showing up

Congratulations on the G4. I visited RD in my city in Karnataka hoping to buy the Bravia 7 which they had on display. It was a 65" inch model placed below 55" Sony Bravia 8 OLED. I was disappointed with the SD picture quality of Bravia 7, the viewing angle wasn't great either. The Bravia 8 OLED was stunning both in picture quality and price! The RD guy told me to just go with LG OLED and G4 can be sold for approx ₹1.4L. If you don't mind, could you please share your invoice hiding your details, so I can try to reduce the price further?

Do you think the prices of 75” plus will ever normalise below 3L in the next few years.

There are TV models that are much cheaper than 3L for 75/77 inch sizes, like some Hisense, TCL and Mi models. I actually wanted to buy Hisense 75" TV but I missed my chance last year and they didn't release either U8K or U7N in that size this year in India, so had to buy costlier model in frustration as I don't want to wait another year.
