Panasonic Plasma 42" X30D

AS I was not abele to decide between my 3d tvs, my father took advantage of my knowledge which I gained from my friends of the forum and purchased his plasma 42x30d.:clapping:
I told him that plasma is more pleasant to eyes ,he took demo and agreed to that.:yahoo:

We brought it from Uttam electronics because authorize showroom of Panasonic refuse to sell below 39K

I got it in 38 k with scratch card, I exchanged my W/L keyboard with rise cooker for my mother, and old 29 samsung tv for 5k to one of the old tv dealer


I have tatasky maltyroom connection at my house. First I seen the picture is very bearish and face and other sins are not very clear. I called dealer and asked for the expansion. He suggested me to buy ts+ HD .( I was under impression that all the TS boxes have same SD quality,but uttam followed by TS CC conformed me that the qualty changes with boxces)

I called TS at night and the person was at my door in the morning ( TS policy is to take the credit card transaction first) as a special case hyeah: they send me the box withought any money and hesitation.

After instillation I observed that picture quality is improved at least twice .But I was still not happy. I Called TS CC for my free pack of HD .they said it will take at least one day as an updation in their systim.

next morning I seen magic .Superb picture quality

Now my old BPL 29 crt is sitting in my bedroom waiting for me to come and watch.

Now I am again back to square ,which 3d tv I should buy for me ?

if you have a big budget then get the Panasonic 50/42 st30 tv! or even the Samsung d550 plasma. There are also 3d led tv's from Samsung and Sony,but are quite expensive.
I am waiting to buy my tv after i shift to my new home which will be by 2 week of jan. Hopefully the prices of tv,s will fall by then.

Did the Panasonic guys come to intall the tv ? Also check if the Panasonic guys honour the 3 year warranty, since you bought it from ebay. My friend bought a Panasonic LCD from eBay,but the service center refused to accept the warranty even though my friend got a dealer warranty from ebay! after some heckling they agreed!!
i guess this happens in Goa only!!

The service guys were very nice. I had asked dealer to open the box and stamp the warranty card. They will honor the 3 year warranty, but I still need to get the extended warranty card from the dealer. The dealer said they haven't yet got it from the company and will send it across as soon as they get it.

SD quality is good. I haven't connected DTH yet as this was installed in a different room and I'll be moving Tata Sky (upgraded to HD+) to this room. Will upload photos in the next few days.

you mean the ebay guy stamped it?? i dont know any of this stuff!:sad:
Since i am going to buy my tv in jan,hopefully by that time flipkart may deliver to Goa!? if the deal is good then i will surely buy from them!

Yes. Most of the time, the ebay dealer will not stamp warranty card, so you have to contact them before purchase to clarify those things and keep a communication line open along the way. The store selling the TV deal seems to be a reputed company located across many cities, and based in Chennai.

I was looking at FlipKart also - they seem to be a better option among the plethora of new online stores. But they don't ship TVs to Goa as yet. You can hope for prices to fall further by a few Ks in the next few months.
