Panasonic VT20 Owners Thread

Folks looking for a Wifi Router to do what Blasto suggested earlier.

He suggested it should have WDS. I need the model no. of the router you have been able to use successfully.

What is the impact of the 50VT20 on your monthly power bill? For me, it seems have increased by about Rs. 250 per month (guess that depends on the 50VT20 replaced, but just interested in a high level sense check).

Got the 50VT20D delivered two days ago. Did a check through the service menu for usage hours and confirmed that it was a new piece. The delivery had some drama with the Croma guys not delivering the second 3D glass ( only one in the box). I played hard ball and held back the old TV that I was supposed to trade in ( 2K value vs 9K isn't much but it was a tactical move to ensure that they do not backtrack). Some really helpful advice from @Khoj helped me get a written confirmation for the second glass which I will collect in a week or so. "Caveat emptor" for Croma in future but guess the great deal made up for it.

I am doing the Dguide torch setting break in and watching regular programs in parallel with professional1 setting as per @Satan. I haven't wall mounted it yet as have not finalised my setup and connections and wanted to avoid acrobatic antics while doing so in a wall mounted setup.

mad.... 33 hours on mine in four days with the slides, no tv content so far... I think itll take me a week or so more. I'm in no hurry lol!

I hope all you guys see the improvement that you wanted to see. For me the best break-in slides are using 9xm channel in any mode. ;)

Not looking for any improvements actually, just want to get done with the first few hours so I can prime the plasma before I can install it. Right now its lying facing the wall and will stay that way for a good month or so! If i had a spare tata sky connection I would be watching tv too but its far easier to leave it with slides on a pen drive in its current position :)

I havent used breakin slides except to check if there is any IR and when the Panasonic guys visited for dead pixel.
I have seen no IR or any issues whatsoever. Sometimes I also watched content with bars for an hour or 2 and there wasnt any IR even after that. Total hours burnt till now is less than 100.

Watch out for the white bar at the bottom. it is still there on Zoom 3

Didn't you get a TSPVR box with the TV?

I think between me and my family we would have used it for just over 25 hours over the last week.

No TSPVR cabling in the store room where the plasma is kept for now so slides is the only best option.

Actually the Plasma and the TSPVR have to be installed in my new home which is getting ready at the moment. Already have a 42" in my room at present can't fit the 50" into the cabinet there so little can be done leaves me no choice but to wait for the time being. My Speakers and Amp also arrive today so they will have to sit quietly for a while too... :/
