Hello there,

I have just bought an LG 32" LCD TV which I have connected to my PC's Nvidia Graphics card using a DVI to HDMI cable.

My problem is now that the TV ONLY seems to be able to display the PC's desktop background image, i.e. no icons, no mouse pointer etc.

I've been playing with the settings in Control Panel and also in the NVidia display settings and everything seems fine in that the TV is visible to the PC, when I hit 'identify monitor' the number 2 flashes up on the TV screen.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Go to the display settings using your Nvidia control panel. Right now, your settings are on 'extend display' mode. It means, your monitor is the main display, whereas your lcd is the secondary one, so you can drag a window opened in your monitor to your lcd's display by moving it to the left or right of your monitor screen.

If you want to have same displays on both your tv and LCD, change settings to 'duplicate the displays.'

Cheers :)
