Post your latest AV purchase(s)......

Congrats Saket,. whats the price ? Please tell me about your impression.

Thanks bro.

Well bought it for 120000 after a days time in negotiation. Sold my Onkyo 508 for 15000, so my net cost was 105000.

My initial impression was not too good, as when I plugged it in and played a piece of music, it sounded mudded and too bright, as compared to warmer sound from Denons.
But after I ran Audyssey MultEQ XT32 (PRO) and done some manual settings, things were in shape and the sound was perfect. I guess thats why Audyssey is been implemented, so lesson learnt, first calibrate, then play.

I've played all sorts of music including mp3, flac, dsd all sounded warm and perfect. DSD decoding is amazing and the soundstage is quite big and opens up a totally different world in music.

Movies - have become more indulging and the sound is mind blowing with all channels sounding perfect. The bass has become more deep and tight. I was lacking this in my Onkyo.

Haven't tested Atmos yet, as I've to add overhead speakers. This is a beefy receiver with lots of power, my speakers have paired well and opened up truly. Lots of connections are possible along with 9.2 channel pre-outs.

Overall, I'm happy and listening my receiver open up everyday with great sound and music.
A detailed review will follow at a later date in the receiver thread.

I am in the same dilemma...I have Onkyo 3500 and would like to slowly upgrade. Andrew jones speakers seems like good chioce to start with and finally upgrading the receiver. Can you please let me know at what price you got these floor standers?

Picked up a Rotel RA 10 amplifier after auditioning a host of amps such as Nad D3020, Yamaha as 500, marantz pm 6005, dnm tube amp, denon, audiolab 8200a, arcam fmj a19, definitive technology w amp.....
Also picked up audioquest dragonfly v 1.2 USB dac

so i got a Marantz PM7005 along with Monitor Audio BX5's. I already had a Audio Technica AT LP60 turntable that i absolutely need to replace ASAP.

I LOVE it, its perfect for the space and it sounds super smooth for the music i listen to. Auditioned it a bunch of times at Bass N' Treble, and i have to say, I'm so glad i went for the PM7005 instead of the PM5004 i was thinking about initially.
