I was looking for LG 42LD460 and Samsung 40C530/550

LG LD460 Rs 49,500 to be the lowest.
Samsung 40C30 for Rs 49,000 and 40C550 for Rs 52,500

Please Let me know if a better price in Cochin. I am planning to get by weekend.

I am also thinking of LG as it has playback support for mkv, h264, wmv, divx etc while samsung has only xvid/divx support.

I need to check it out.

LG doesn't play DTS audio. Tried, mkv, mp4, flv, wmv,mov and it played everything fine except for DTS audio.
Samsung Plays DTS Audio. But doesnt support mov.


42 inch LG 42LD460 costs Rs 47,000 in Ernakulam while 40 Inch Samsung C530 costs Rs 49,000. Still confused which one to go for....

For those looking for a good deal on a budget 42" plasma in Bombay, here's some news. Was at Ezone, Oberoi Mall, Goregaon(E) yesterday looking for a 50", and chanced upon this LG PQ60 which was being sold for 31K types. Now I don't know how good or bad this model is(I only know it's last year's), but this seems to be a very good deal for any 42" plasma, no?

Absolutely. Last time I checked it was available for around 42,000 around 6 months back. That was in Chandigarh. So that price of around 31,000 is very good as long as the piece is brand new and not a demo model!

ezone is selling at ~52k.
if the price in delhi is 44k and mumbai is 45k ..
it has to be much less than 52k in bangalore!
