That should be a good price. I asked couple of dealers and the best they are offering is 49K. I am trying to find a dealer who can do better.

49k is a normal price .. i got it @ 45 K under diwali scheme

I am informed that the 47 LD460 is now available for 60Kp - and perhaps a bit less if pressed.

As of today Samsung can't play .m2ts files - hence backups or direct rips of BD won't be detected , leave alone work.

You have to convert them to mkv or mp4 in order to play them.

You have the option to rename the .mrts as avi/mpg/ts/wmv and it will play it but you cannot forward/rewind or do any other navigation, zoom etc..

Based on your input, I have renamed the .m2ts file to .avi and .mkv and tried to play it on my Samsung C650 TV. TV recognoze the file and plays it. But it plays

1. in slow motion ( frame by frame with delay )
2. The sound is not audible ( There are bits and pieces of sound even that is not clear )

Could you tell me how do I overcome this??

I need as I have all my camcorder videos in .m2ts and cannot be played in TV directly.
Appreciate your response..

Just bought Samsung LA40C550 for 50k in hyderabad after visiting lot of shops and lot of haggling. No Free offers.
Got SQ02 (SPVA) panel. Another thing to note is that I haggled all retailers to get this panel and even talked to the main hyderabad distributor in the process and they all said that the current lot coming for this particular model and size from samsung is all SPVA.

FYI...my experience with JD Chennai,

i had been to JD last week,on recommendation from my friend, my purpose was to buy three no's Panasonic plasma x42 plasmas. i am sorry to say they are really unprofessional's,,

they have quoted their plasmas 42k for each and were willing to give @ 39,990/- they said it was the best price and no one can give it at that price, no one was bothered to negotiate the pricing , it was as if buy it or leave it ,what an attitutude

finally i got all my plasmas from Abirami ttk road Chennai for 36k delivered with credit card billing....the whole negotiation took hardly 10 minutes

Did you go to the Kilpauk branch or to the Mogappair branch? I found Vaibhav (in the Mogappair branch) to be extremely courteous and helpful (before , during, after the sale, including installation support - for my airtel HD as well)buy

I have dealt before with Abirami and have found them to be very responsive with regards to each sale. In fact I have had them call me after a week or two when there was a change in prices.

This was my first experience with the JD and in this case, we had already known the price and there was very little left to negotiate (it was already a Whopper of a Discount).
