Croma in Anna Nagar quoted a price of Rs 1,49,900 for Sony KDL-55EX710. There is also an EMI option, with a down payment of Rs 36,310 and 14 EMIs of Rs 8,328 each.

Not a bad deal considering you're paying only 3K more on the EMIs. The price could still be bargained and brought down to about 145k.

1. Delivery free in blr, chn, vizag, & hyd

Myself and teky went around for Pana-42x20D and best price we got is Rs.36,250 in the Panasonic brand shop in Chennai, mount road. Croma is : 39,990 / Reliance digital / 38,990 / Panasonic brand shop : 36,250/ Ezone : yet to be given

Someone mentioned buying it at Vasanth and Co for 60.5 in June or so. I am pretty sure you can get them to meet that price in November. Since you know the lowest price you can try for even lower (someone got it in HYD - 57.5).

TV is excellent & it has USB which can play all movies from storage. No need to purchase BD player if u have this. Can watch BD rips from ext hdd. Panasonic does not have USB for this price range, just have SD card reader !

As of today Samsung can't play .m2ts files - hence backups or direct rips of BD won't be detected , leave alone work.

You have to convert them to mkv or mp4 in order to play them.

You have the option to rename the .mrts as avi/mpg/ts/wmv and it will play it but you cannot forward/rewind or do any other navigation, zoom etc..
