WOW, you guys in the metros have so many choices and such great deals. I wonder how much longer before the 55+ HDTVs drop below 1 lakh. Would be great to get this puppy home next Diwali.

hi there..,
yes i've compared both x20d and c450 as x20d was my top priority, but after seeing i find the PQ in c450 is much better than x20d. and yes there is some reflection on the screen but for me it isn't an issue unless you have a window without curtains exactly opposite to your tv screen. The picture looked really good on sd (better than x20) and the HD just blows you away..,except that x20d has 2yrs extended warranty the c450 beats x20 in every aspect..,also the c450 looks more stylish than x20d.hope this helps
cheers Ani

between the samsung 3D and Sony 3D diwali offer, which is a better offer? The ads dont mention which is the blu ray player model that is part of the package.

Samsung offer is (on any 46 and above 3D TV (CCFL or LED backlit)

1. C6900 BR/3D player (worth 22k)
2. 3 3D glasses (worth 9k)
3. 3D titles worth 3k (not sure how many that is)

Best prices I could get are

C750 is the only CCFL LCD 3D TV that Samsung has - rest are LED backlit
46 in - 110,000 (plus a 5k dig camera)
55 in - 155,000 (plus a 5k dig camera)

Trouble is C750 is not in stock even in samsung warehouse.
Availability will depend on manuf schedule for the coming week !
I gave a cheque for the 55 in and had to take it back. The sales guy
was cursing Samsung !

By the way Panny 50V20 is going for 103500. Lowest
I have seen for a while. I think the same camera deal would apply there.

too bad.. i was planning to go for the 40" LED model. but that comes with C5500 blu ray which does not have 3D capabilities. For the 46", they are advertizing C6900 as worth 30K, goggles as 14.5K along with HDMI cable and titles worth 3K. Sony has similarly priced package -1.2L, but looks like a better deal. BD470 which is a 3D capable blue player, 2 googgles worth 13k, 9 titles worth 9k and 3D virtual surround sound bar.

One qn - 3D packages is mentioned for LED TVs. Does 46C750 qualify for this offer? Can anyone who has actually bought it confirm?

46C750 does qualify for the offer. The Samsung instructions to the dealer clearly states 3D LED/LCD. I checked and my order clearly states that. Troubel is
these things will probably take a week or 2 for delivery.
I think the Sony is a 40 in TV on offer whereas the Samsung
is a 46 in (albeit a CCFL backlit but one that has better PQ).

Sony is too pricey. Even a grey market EX7xx is 95k.

Thanks for confirming! Initially I felt let down when I compared the Sony 40" offer with the Samsung 40" offer. I felt Sony offer was way better. But then I realized Sony model was a CCFL LCD model where as Samsung was a LED LCD model. Then I thought that buying the 46C750 made more sense. I get a bigger TV when compared to Sony, get an additional 3D goggle and wifi adapter and HDMI cable, but less # of 3D titles. I will be pulling the gun on probably thursday/friday. I dont mind if they are able to deliver it in 2-3 weeks time. I already have the Logitech Z680 (predecessor of Z5500). So wont miss the sound bar too much. I definitely think that in terms of 3D title offered, Samsung could have done a better job.

Also, in terms of 2D picture quality, C750 is among the best in LCDs.

Thanks
