I am getting Panasonic V20D new piece with 3 year warranty for 83K. Do you think it is a good deal?

Panasonic Viera 50V20D should be available at 55k?
I thought you were talking of 42" :)

Its a good price for 50" though I would personally prefer Samsung 51D550 3D TV for 63k primarily due to better picture processing, far superior media playback support, better looks, newer model and 3D.

Hi all,

New member in this forum. And this is my first post.
Am from Bangalore and looking to buy a 32 inch LCD (was thinking of buying full HD but after going through some posts now having second thoughts, anyways)
Can you please suggest me some good shops in Bangalore which offer some good price deals. ( not grey market ones)
I tried Girias but the price they quoted for a Lg model LK 450 was 34k which is priced 29500 in letsbuy.

TIA :)

Hi,

kindly let me know from where in Mumbai did you get a quote of 68k for PS51D550 Samsung?

Got quoted the following prices today: are they ok? could i get better prices?

42 U30 46500
50 U20 61000
50 U30 70000
50V20 96000

Hi there. I am too shopping for a 40 to 50 inch TV and happened to look at the Panasonic range today. I was given the following 'best' cash prices (without any negotiation):

42U30 : 45,000
50U30 : 65,000

42X30 (Plasma): 39,000
50X30 (Plasma): 56,000

Placed one above the other and playing from the same source (a BD player), the picture on the 42U30 looked very much brighter and more crisp as compared to the X30 series Plasma TVs.

The salesperson was pushing the Plasmas - he said an LCD always looks brighter if compared side by side, but Plasma is easier on the eyes if you watch TV for long hours. The LCD models are full HD, and the Plasmas are HD Ready. In fact, the salesperson said that SD channels from a source like Tata Sky will look better on Plasma - not sure if this is correct. Given that most of our viewing is going to be SD channels with only an occasional HD channel or movie, I am too wondering whether it is worth paying the extra for the LCD TVs. Also very comforting is the 3 year warranty on Plasma TVs as against 1 year on the LCD models.

The Salesperson told me the U30 is a Full HD LCD - did not check up the specs. I tried to look up the Panasonic India website but it is not opening:lol:
