This is the Panasonic brand shop next to LIC in Chennai... I got the price over the phone.. The tnagar brand shop quoted me 1.07...

Price quoted @ tnagar shop for 50U30 - 77k

@ amol12 : Maybe, but the MRP is 1.2 lac so the price drop is reasonable....

The brand shop in tnagar quoted 1.07 lac for 50ST30 and 77k for 50U30....

@amol12 - The MRP is 1.20 for this model so I guess the price drop is reasonable...
 
Purchased 50VT20D from Pana brand shop, Koramangala@95K. No free bees. Just TV, 2 nos 3D glasses n wall mount. Delivery done 2de, waiting fr installation. Had seen the hours usage n count at shop! 7 mins & 4 times, that too In frnt of me, as even aftr my explanation, salesguy was unable to locate SRV tool. Damn, it cant play movies thru USB( only DIVX & MPG-2). Purchased Digi 200 frm V-guard (5K) & Belkin gold series Surge protector (2K). However, aftr discussing the same wid my plants electrical maint manager, advice fr ppl planing out there is to go fr CVC instead a stablizer+ surge protector. In the same amt, guaranted protection!

@sushantjapan - What is CVC? Haven't heard about this before.
 
Sorry, it was CVT: Constant voltage transformer. Typo error. After discussing the same with another Electrical maint. engineer, came to know that for sudden high voltage for short duration, sugre protector is solution. for irregular voltage and voltage fluctionations, CVT is solution. CVT do not respond quickly and can not respond to surge. sugre regulator can not regulate voltage if it is varying, so to use with voltage stabilizer. Well, I am confused myself after going in these details & I think my choice of V guard Digital Volt stablizer+ belkin surge protector is right choice for me.
 
i 've been offered panasonic 42 gt20 at 55000 INR. how's the deal? the salesman said its same as 42V20 but with 3d. is it true?
 
Alternately you can wait till Sep end for pooja discount. I have been told that pooja discount will kick in Sep end or Oct beginning.
 
GT20 is older model . So , there may not be many left. I think, its better to pickup when available.
 
Apparently there are just too many 2010 pana VT20 series TVs left. >50 sets with one dealer I spoke to.
