As per the standard law of axioms and numbers, 6400 is supposed to be better than 6200. I assume this - I have not checked.
That is the problem with LG - there are simply too many models with small differences. In one way, I suppose that this brings choice to customer. But in my opinion, too many choices confuse the customer more than delighting.

@just4kix, Since you are the most experience FM on plasma, which are the good plasma models to go for in the 55" to 65" category?
I find very few posts discussing tv in > 55" category and hence the question.

Not many options. Best would be 65VT50. IF available then 65ST50 will be cheaper. The last option would be 64E8000 from Samsung.

Thank you. There are many more experienced people - my plasma experience is just 4 months.
Plasma models are available in 42/43", 50/51" and 60" and 64/65" only. The 60" is from LG. There is no 55" model.
Sizes greater than 50" will be beyond most common men and hence there will be very less thread on these. The 65VT50 and 65ST50 are not still released. The current plasma choices are LG 60PV250 (discontinued but available at some places), Panasonic 65VT30, Samsung 64E8000.

Now this comes with two pair of 3d glasses. I need to buy one more pair. What will be the compatible models and price?

The VT30 is 2011 series and will need the IR controlled glasses. I believe the price of each is 6K or so. You can buy them at the brandroom.

difference is primarily Wifi BUILt in available in 6410 which is not available in 6400. The price for 42incher should be 78K if you bargain hard.

From what is see your buying both right, in that case Panny seems a wee bit more pricey and yes you should be getting 2 glasses i believe and in regard to Sony i'm not aware of its price

Finally I booked 51E8000 on 20th Oct i.e. Saturday and got delivery on the same day.
Price in pune from my HT distributor friend at Rs 83000 with TAB Offer and 4 3D Eyewear.
Yesterday(24th Evening) Samsung Engineer installed the TV.
Till now I am very happy with the quality and yet to receive the AirTel HD Box hence put it on the Tatasky normal SD.
Will update you soon for further experience.
Bye the Way : In next 10 days will receive the Samsung TAB 2 P310 which dealer is ready to take back at Rs14K.
If any buddy one is interested please let me know as the Selling price is Rs19,200.

Got my P65VT30d plasma delivered on Wed. I have two pair of 3d glasses. It uses IR for communication with tv. I have heard that samsung 3d glasses will also work. Can anyone confirm this?
As expected the glass is reflective and causes distraction in the daytime. However I will be shifting this tv to a dedicated private theater room later. At that time I will take care of having think dark curtains.

The VT30 is a 2011 model. It uses the IR technology and not the latest Universal RF 3D sync. Hence it is unlikely that Samsung 3D glasses (even 2011 one) will work with it. You may inquire as such as I am not 100% sure.
