Hello,
I am getting 42UT50 for 56k (after exchange of my Onida 21 CRT) and 2 3-D glasses. Is this a good price. How do i confirm that i am not going to get their already used plasma models . Please help.

Thanks,
Mihir

you may have already figured it out, but still I would like to repeat.

- go to the TV and on the side panel, press the Vol (-) switch (keep it pressed)
- take the remote in hand and press Info button twice (2 times)
- a menu would be displayed, on the remote press the number-2 two times and then OK button
- on the table displayed, move the cursor (direction keys on remote) to the empty cell opposite to PTCT:xxx cell
- once in that cell, press the Mute button on remote for 3 seconds.
- the display will show the hours:min and Count of switch ON.

dont keep this screen static for long. you need to directly Power-Off to exit of this, no other way!

Is it resonable ? To certain extent - YES. But it can be reduced further at least with Panasonic. I have seen 42ST50 go till 83k. For 50ST50, you can look for 1.0L

1. 50ST50 price is wrong. The MRP is 118,900 and can be had at 100,000. Check again.
2. 42ST50 price is near about right. Can be had at 83K. Bargain hard.
3. 32CX420 price (haven't checked) should be 2K below the MRP listed on website.

Samsung PS51E8000 Plasma Prices slashed. Current MRP is 136K and the offer price was 119K. Today dealer told that they received Email from company for 51E8000 to be offered for Rs 95K with TAB which can be returned with Rs12K further deduction. Hence now effective price will be Rs 83K.

I am confused. I am looking at buying Panasonic TH-P65VT30D Plasma. Now I am getting 3 different price from 3 different shops

1) Tata Croma - Rs 230000 (+printer+3yrs warranty+some stupid hangama voucher) + Rs 5000 discount because buying something > 1 lac in Tata Croma + 2.5% discount on being a Tata Employee

2) Rajesh Trading - Rs 280000 (+printer + 3yrs warranty+some stupid hangama voucher)

3) Sakura Electronics - 270000 (+printer + 3yrs warranty + some stupid hangama voucher)

Now both Rajesh and Sakura claim that there is something fishy with the Tata Croma price (must be a demo piece, etc). Can someone help me with validating the above pricing?

Wow that is tempting. Shouldn't this be a great TV to buy? What about the price for 64inch?

A difference can be to the tune of 5-10%. Such a huge difference could mean that (giving all benefit of doubt to Croma), it might be a last non moving piece for over one year.
