Hi guys just registered to post this.I went to sony showroom in Gurgaon and the guy quoted 89k for 46 HX750 with 2 free 3d glasses.Is it a good deal and can i get this model at a cheaper price in Gurgaon?He was also saying that if i pay by cash at the time of payment they will give me additional discount he wouldn't tell me how much discount they will give why so secretive?

Overpriced.....last month I got a quote of 82K for 46Hx750. In fact Sony has reduced the Mrp itself to 89K to clear stock before releasing new models. So look for a target of 80-82K.

Bought Pana 55ET5 for 99k. Price quoted for 55HX750 was 1.17L
selected 55ET5 for its passive 3D though i was not interested in 3D features. in terms of PQ, there wasn't much of difference.

yes I agree its cheap there but if you work out the cost of custom duties when getting it here is almost equal to the same price here. Our airport luggage maintainence people are the worst kind. They have no care even if its marked as "Fragile"

So think about it. Any ways you can still fly and enjoy vacation at Thai..

Note that 55" TV is not allowed as normal baggage. It will definitely attract excess and oversize baggage fees even if the total weight if well under control.

Good idea to go to Bangkok to buy LED TV. Last week been to Bangkok as a family of four.Got a good bargain for 3 LED TVs.
1. Sony 42" LED Smart ( Internet connectivity) Thai Baht 19800 ( Model not yet launched in India)
2. Samsung 40" LED Smart ( Internet connectivity) Thai Baht 19000
3. Samsung 40" LED ( No Internet connectivity) Thai Baht 16800

Got VAT (7% of price) refund at Bangkok Swarnabhumi airport before departure. No problem at Chennai airport for SrNo.1 and 3; at Mumbai airport for Sr No.2. All cleared without any Customs Duty.

Trust this information is useful to those planning to go to Bangkok.

Planning to buy a new TV. So far narrowed it down to:

1. Type : LED
2. Size : 46 or 47 inches.

Now going thru the pleothora of choices....Visited 5 showrooms so far..one offer is too tempting..

1. Panasonic L47ET50D - 81K....

Sony 46 HX 850 only display piece was available...

Looks decent although it is 2012 model...looks complete VFM for the feature set..

Please provide your inputs or suggestions...

I see the W800 also has 3D and also inbuilt wifi.. so whats the difference between W800 and W804A since I am not able to know why W804A is so much more expensive ?
