Hello All...I've been using Guayadeque Media player and it features VU meters for Left and Right channels...when I play my flacs..usually the VU meters go touch 0 when music is constant...but for one album it halts at -10...and I've to increase volume as it slumps...why is this happening? is it a bad rip?

see these pics

This one halts at -10

Like all other flacs...hits 0

Thank you.

Let me try....I may be wrong about this..What the VU meter can show is the peak . So if the meter is hitting 0, that is the peak..in digital world, 0 dB is the peak. Beyond that , it clips ..If the meter is staying constantly at 0, the recording will be very loud . It also will probably have low dynamic range . What should happen in a good recording is that the meter should be hitting the peak of 0dB rarely.

Hope others can enlighten.
