The Very Best of Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Collectables, 1996.

From: Johnny "Guitar" Watson
A working bluesman since his teenage years in the early 1950s, Johnny "Guitar" Watson scored numerous chart successes in the 1970s with a unique guitar-based sound that mixed the feel and instrumental technique of the blues with the bass-heavy sound of funk. Admired by guitarists specializing in various styles of music, and recruited as a sideman by the avant-garde rock musician Frank Zappa, Watson also excelled as a vocalist. His singing was by turns sexy, humorous, and political; his guitar playing exploited the full range of the instrument's powers

"Absolutely and Joyously Smashed" is my first impression of this artiste's music.
I never play my amp even 10 O'clock volume for more than a single track and today lunch time I kept the amp at 11 O'clock for the whole duration of the album. I've never grooved so much since my teen years or early twenties.

Foot tapping, funky with some great wah-wah guitar licks, the songs have a tempo thats you will dig and groove to, yet don't rush forward in a hurry, revealing an Artiste with that special consciousness, one who perceives the passage of time slowly and unhurriedly (compared to us stressed out folks), giving him that inner vision and ample space within which to showcase his music.

I quality of flacs I discovered is very good. :clapping::clapping::clapping:
Search and ye shall find... ;)

I dont think a "CD" version release of any malayalam album would happen that often. I used to try for any of them in shops, but never had luck in getting AUdio CD version of any recent malayalam movies. I managed to get "Amen's" CD as the last thing.

Here are my favorites from Music Mojo, as my fav combination always remained Job and Neha. Hope you might have seen it somewhere before. But if not.. worth a try always.

I hope I didnt miss anything here ;) Other state people can also give a try as I believe, these are excellent orchestration examples, with lot of instruments. with distinctive "place" for each of them. Afterall music breaks language barriers like it does most of times :)

And all my fav Ilayaraja tunes under one "roof":
