Hi,

I am using Samsung PC share manager (on PC) and Samsung Allshare DLNA media server and watching media streamed from my PC to my Samsung C650 TV.But there is no rewind/ffwd support in this media server. And it is kinda annoying. I have not tried any freeware/third party media servers/players like TVersity which work fine on other DLNA supported devices like PS3.
Has anyone had success with those on samsung tvs?
Also I am not sure how to get the screenshare option working.
Is screenshare possible only through HDMI/ethernet wired connection and not via wireless?. Am currently using a wireless connection.
If you guys have any suggestions do share em.

Try using Serviio instead of the default Samsung media server. It is open source and is far more flexible and powerful.

Installed and tested Serviio.
It recognized only the C: drive of my computer.
It is pretty slow in playing video files than allshare.
In allshare there is no ffwd, rewind option and its the same with serviio.
Should i have to install any serviio component on the tv to achieve better performance. ?

1. Have you installed it as a service?
2. Add the shared folders and make sure that the user has administrative privileges to see all the shared folders.
3. Are you able to jump (arrow keys) back and forth?
4. Are you able to pause and resume or do you get "not enabled" message?
5. Is this happening for all types or container of files or any particular like avi or mkv?
6. Have you uninstalled the previous samsung version?

yes

there is only one login and it is admin . so i guess its not an issue.
3. Are you able to jump (arrow keys) back and forth?
yes. but very slow.
4. Are you able to pause and resume or do you get "not enabled" message?
I can pause and play.
5. Is this happening for all types or container of files or any particular like avi or mkv?
In other partitions none of the files were visible.
The slowness is observed in .avi files.i have only(mostly) avi files.
6. Have you uninstalled the previous samsung version?
No.
