Let Samsung improve upon their after-sales service in TVs and other electronics first ..... then, the others really need to get worried.

Panasonic has no competition with LG Samsung interms of technology. IMO Panasonic is way ahead in making quality household products. Although competition in tech front will only benefit us as a consumer.

While I cant comment on all household items as I feel that lg and samsung also has a good range of products however plasma is Panasonic's forte and one should not forget their takeover of pioneer (of Kuro fame).

Second is the difference with warranty which is essential in costly televisions.

No they didn't ... As far as I know sharp bought or licenced some of the tech used in the kuro to use in their elite panels...
