Samsung/Sony/Panasonic 2012 tv lineup,When?

^^ I asked them too about Panasonic 2012 models but they had no idea. Infact I don't think they will have any idea until it actually arrives there. I prefer 2012 models over 2011 ones. I would have gone for the Panasonic 50ST50 if it was available. Since Panasonic will arrive late (than Samsung) I am thinking about going for the Samsung 51E550 which should be available in the coming week. Bismi in Cochin got stock of it yesterday I heard.

Any idea when PS51E550D1R will be launched in Trivandrum and the approx price? Does it come with 3D glasses?

Went to few dealers in Gurgaon. None of them had Sammy E550 on display. Said the same would be available next week.

Getting Sammy E 550 51" for 69K. I guess that is the best available in this segment & this budget.

Please correct me if wrong.

That's a very good price. I saw this TV in Bangalore and the selling price for it was 74K

P42X50 @ 42k and some other LED models are now available at Panasonic brand shops rest of the PDP models will be available after 15 days

:)Thanks for the news,

Wow, I have been waiting to check these 2012 models for a long time. But have you seen those Plasmas yourself?

I want to buy Panasonic 42 inch 3D plasma like 42ST30D.

QRS said it will arrive this week, but they have been telling it for a month now. Yes, it includes 2 free 3D glasses.

If it doesn't reach this week then I am going to wait till Panasonic ST50 arrives (hopefully by July first week as told to me by Panasonic India by email which is only 2 weeks away) so that I can compare Samsung PS51E550D1R & Panasonic TH-P50ST50D and decide if the ~Rs.25K-30K difference is worth it or not.

P.S: Please PM me your email address as I don't see the PM option in your profile.

Bought the new PS51E550D1R yesterday from Samsung Brand shop at TGIP mall NOIDA and must say that me and family are absolutely delighted. I have been researching on multiple forums for more than a year now and was waiting for these models to be launched and immediately grabbed one as soon as it came out. Absolute VFM, comes with 2 3D glasses. Has on of the best in class 3D with no crosstalk. SD channels on Tata Sky look not too bad at all. Viewing distance for me is very non ideal, which is about 6' from the screen and this TV so easy on the eyes even from that distance. The PQ settings need some tweaking out of the box but there are a lot of ideal settings available on various forums which give great results. Overall could not be happier with this buy. Only issue I faced so far is that it won't recpgnize my 1TB WD HDD but recognizes my other lower capacity HDDs like 500 GB WD or 8GB USB drives. Sports look great, SD stuff loosk way better than even on expensive LED TVs and Smart TV options are not bad either. Streams Youtube like a charm, has Skype, FB, Twitter and a good browser built in. I am using my HTC android smartphone as a remote for the TV and is so much better than the standard remote. Will post more about this TV later. Cheers! :)

Thanks for the update. In case Panasonic releases the new model in June first week, we can go for a group buy. You can reach me on [email protected] and pl. let me know if you are going for Samsung in the meantime [if it gets released this week]

Panasonic, Sony purportedly entering into OLED TV team-up, torrid love affair -- Engadget

Sony might not have taken long to find a new date in the TV scene after breaking up with Samsung late last year: if you believe Nikkei, Panasonic is the belle of the ball. The two Japanese firms are reportedly hoping to speed up the development of cheap, mass-produced OLED TVs by sharing each other's design techniques, including a Panasonic method for printing OLEDs on a scale that lets the company avoid $9,000 price tags. Neither Panasonic nor Sony has confirmed the talks, of course, and there's no guarantee a partnership will emerge even if it truly gets hot and heavy. Still, if real, we'll be on the lookout for a PanaSony OLED TV at CES in the future.

Hi Guys,

Yesterday i bought my Panasonic 42XT50 for Rs.46500/- without 3D glasses. Glasses cost are extra 5500/-, which i'll purchase next month. Got installed on Sunday evening.. didn't check properly but picture quality is far better than Samsung 43D490 & E490.
