Hello experts,

With your help and guidance I have been able to decide the components for my New HT Setup.

I have already purchase some of the components from USA like the
1)Denon X3200 AVR
2)Sub BIC PL 200.
3) Speaker Cables from Monoprice USA 14 AWG
4) MA Bronze 5 Set for front, centr, surround ( to be purchased in India)

I have also managed to convert the BIC PL 200 from 110v to 220v with help of fellow members :clapping: . As the Denon AVR cannot be converted to accepted 110v I will order a Maxine 1 Kva Step Down Transformer from Amazon. I hope 1Kva is sufficient as AVR says 600 Watts at the back near power supply.

Now the most Important part, Speakers is what I need to buy.
Mostly I will be going for the MA Bronze 5 for which some person who claims to be a dealer has offered me a V good discount but he is from Bangalore.

Apart from being dealer of Monitor Audio (Which I could not verify as Monitor Audio website does not mention about any dealer of Bangalore) he is also a Dealer of SLEEK Kitchen Design(Which is Asian Paint group co, Also the website of Sleek Modular Kitchen Designs | Sleek the Kitchen Specialist | Sleek Kitchens Mumbai has listed him as authorised dealer.) Which means he is mostly a genuine guy doing business.

It will be really helpful if any of the members can confirm the dealer is genuine from Bangalore and deals with Monitor Audio. I am not sure if I should be dealing with a complete stranger who met me online on Monitor audio Facebook page.

I request members to guide me how to setup the Denon x3200 and its audyssey setup.

Any help with regards to the dealer or setting up x3200 will be appreciated.

Congrats on your purchase.. Audyssey is a straight & simple calibration.

Once you hook up the speakers, initiate the calibration. Your AVR has Audyssey MultEQ XT which is an 8 point calibration set-up.. Look in to the Denon Manual on how they suggest to place the calibration mike in different places of your listening position and start it..

Most of the time, Audyssey is spot on.. Share your results here or in the Audyssey thread, which may (or) may not need tweaking..

Congratulations , but why are you buying your speakers from Bangalore? I bought mine in Mumbai itself ?

@Amarendra

As i have mentioned in my post Banglore guy is offering me a V good deal. Thats wht is forcing me to purchase it from him.

Whom did you buy the spkrs from and wht %discount were you offered?

Will need some small tweaking with fronts and subs,which was needed for my room.
Please note all your settings data in a paper so that you can go back.
Will not required for reference this you can restore
Remember to include sub(myself found after 2 months with x3100 from USA using 1.5kv from Maxie)
Happy listening.

@ttarasu

Thanx, I have ordered Maxine 1Kv step down for my Denon x3200

My woofer has been converted to 220 already, so 110v supply required only for AVR which is of 600 W.

Do u think 1kv is not sufficient?

As my room size is 16X20 which is further open at one side to my dining area , I am thinking of shifting from the Bronze 5 to Bronze 6 for a cost difference of 14k. Assuming bigger is better.

1kv will be sufficient in my case I use for blu ray,graphic equalizer too.
There existed one problem in the beginning the AVR frequently went on /off often (but not when on inventor)
After adding Maxine digital voltage regulator this problem disappeared .

Would you be using the setup for music? If it is only for HT, floorstanders do not make sense as frequencies below around 80Hz are sent only to the sub.

Bigger is not necessarily better. One example is the MA Silver RX6 and RX8.

For Audyssey, make sure you place all speakers in correct places. Front speakers 1-2 feet away from walls. Center speaker in same line as of left right speakers. Sub if boomy move little far from wall and set volume to 50%. Also don't put sub power on Auto but ON mode.
Surrounds to be placed 1feet backwards(facing each other) and 2feet above hearing levels when seated on couch. Setup Audyssey preferably in night or silent times. Mic should be placed on tripod or given setup and needs to be in line with Center, left and right Speaker tweeters.

@sanrg
the place for my front speakers are just an inch away from the wall :-/

the sub is just adjacent to the front towers 3 inch away from the tower and 1 inch away from the wall.

The surrounds will be mounted on the wall and the Sofa too will be touching the same wall . Sadly my setup does not meet recommendations.

I do not have a tripod, You think placing Mic on a stool or a chair should be fine?

Can you pls explain wht difference it make when sub Power is kept on "Auto" or "ON"?

I have tried to make a rough sketch for the layout of my room , Hope it will give you a better idea of the layout.

Move the sofa from the back wall to few inches front. And instead of back surrounds why dont you take them to the side surrounds.

Your fronts can be brought out a bit and pulling out the sofa will definitely be good. Apart from the sound, your distance to the TV is too high for good visual experience. Pulling up the sofa will help here too. A projector would be best :).

Why do you have the vacant space on the left of the sofas? Your angle of the fronts to the viewing seat is too narrow as in the sketch. If you can increase the width of the listening area, this will improve.

Yea sofa can be moved few inches to the front.
what do you mean by back surrounds and side surrounds? Do you mean placing surrounds on side walls?

Side wall are not equidistant from the listening area thats the reason I did not select side walls.

I have a 75 inch LED had considered Projector but considering the ease of operation to other family members went ahead with LED.

the Sofa is actually covering the left are as well upto the listening area line. (My bad , I missed it out while making the sketch.)
