Sherwood BDP-5004 BD Player Network issues

Hi every one, does any one have encountered BD live issues in sharewoord 5004? I am getting a message saying the network configuration has not done.. and the disc is not getting played.. if i eject out/in, some times the disc gets played.. i have tried all the options available in network configuration. Could any one please tell me how to disable the network forever?
 
I am getting the following message

"Your BD player does not seem to have a properly configured internet connection, which allows to access network for BD-Live.
(red button) to config network setting.
"

After this "No Disc" message comes.....

Any idea Guys....

This is the problem that Sukhas and me faced at his place.

Do you guys have an idea how to solve a unique problem, every time we load a disc, it asks us to connect to BD-live and does not allow us to play a disc.

We did not have this problem when connected without HDMI, now for some reason it asks this now.

We had disabled the network option in the settings to disabled but it still asks and refuses to play the disc.

But once we eject the disc and play it back, it works as normal.

All Blu Ray, soft ware geeks, top honchos out there, any ideas?

sorry no idea how to solve the issue.. but can anyone of you suggest me where to buy a sherwood 5004 br in mumbai?? Couldn't find any dealer.. heard it's pretty decent and multi region too..

not gonna be using bd-live ever.... so that solves the problem for me :D

Hey Bhavesh,
Even we dont want to use BD-Live, but the error message is stopping the play back......we need to insert the disc, couple of times...which is a real head ache...
 
I have the same Sherwood player and been using it nearly
one year now. I never connected it to the network, nor touched
any of the related set up options.
The same message you mention comes up initially, but goes away after
a second or two. It does not prevent any disc being played.

I normally have it connected via HDMI, but I have used it with
component video connections also, and it works fine both ways.

If there is a reset to factory defaults option, maybe you can try that.

For us the message is preventing the disc being played. atleast i need to pull out and insert back the disc 2-3 times....Is there any factory defaults available to reset to??
 
After a lot of trials i have found this is not a network issue..It is basically hardware issue...i am creating another thread for that....
